WinCrest Black Raspberry Gelatin - 2 Lb Tub

I like the Wincrest gelatins for several reasons. One is that it is more economical to buy gelatin in the bulk sizes like this. Another is that the flavors are very intense, just as good or better than the name brand and you know who I mean. Another is that they come in a sturdy tub that I can reuse for other foods or craft supplies or whatever. The only drawback or glitch is that you need to get the water hotter than you might normally do, in order to get all the powder to dissolve. I use a third of a cup of powder to a cup of hot water, but maybe you'd like to reduce the powder a little bit. Also may I add a small tip, if you put a spoonful of lemon juice in the solution, it adds a bright note to the final result.

I was thrilled to find this item although the quantity is way more than I need but I will find used for it. I have my hubby,s mother,s recipe for Rhubarb Sauce and it calls for Blackraspberry jello. You cannot find it in supermarkets! Good old Walmart to the rescue,..I am thrilled to have found it

I bought 5 different flavors and there is something very wrong with all of them...there is a very STRONG taste of chemical. It might be cleaning solution or something used to strip the hides. The orange flavor today just burned my tongue and my throat. STAY AWAY FROM THESE. All flavors I bought for $85 are bad.
