This is a great AC!! Very easy to install. My husband and I did it in 15min. It started cooling immediately. I am very happy with it. Takes up very little space little space inside of window.

Easy to put in with the extensions on the side fitting perfectly. Love the WiFi and it's quiet. However mine didn't come with a remote but I don't ahold of Windmill and they're sending one out!

Quiet and energy efficient.

anonymous June 28, 2025

This Windmill air conditioner might cost more than others but it has an Energy Star which many other air conditioners don't have. So it costs less to use. It is also much quieter than other brands. It might have been easier to install but like all window air conditioners it is heavy and requires two people to set in the window.

Very Easy to Install, Quiet and Pretty

Qin May 12, 2025

I bought two from Walmart and one end up lost in the middle of no where ._. So I manage to setup one. It's heavy for sure but it is the most easy setup I've ever done. I've used Midea before, much complicated than this. And this AC also sounds very very quiet compare to the old Midea I had. Definitely recommended lol!!! I really really love it!

Windy but not noisy

anonymous July 30, 2026

We installed it in a sunroom and it's great. Very quiet, looks good and cools the space very efficiently. Google Home controls it by voice or app. The Windmill app also works well. I would buy it again.

Clunk clunk clunk

Like everyone else who bought this newer one, the fan is clunky and off balance and ridiculously loud when it kicks on. Sounds like it’s going to come flying through the unit. Serious defect.

Walmart's Bad Service Department

David August 4, 2026

Hello, the Walmart service center is very bad. I purchased a Windmill 12,000 BTU AC and installed it in our window. After installing it, we noticed there was a filter in the bottom of the box, there was nothing in the instructions on installing the filter, we googled how to do it and after removing the front cover of the AC, we noticed about 30% of the condenser fins were bent and damaged, I took pictures, this unit was clearly either used or refurbished, I called Walmart and they said I could only return the item or get a 10% discount, I was not happy with either option as we spent several hours installing the unit and I would never pay 90% of brand new price for a damaged used unit. The service rep understood and said they would escalate to see if they could get a more reasonable discount like closer to 40% as anyone would expect at least 40% for a used or refurbished unit, especially when the company tried to pass of a refurbished unit as brand new. He submitted the request and said I would hear back in 24 hours to 48 hours. 10 days later I had not heard anything, so I called back. To my surprise, the new service rep said the request had not been submitted, so I had to explain what happened again, and he understood and said he could only give me 10% discount or I could return the unit after spending hours installing it, at this point I was pretty frustrated, he could sense this and so he spoke to his "supervisor". He came back and said they could give me a 20% discount, not wanting to uninstall the unit, repack, ship it, and do it all over again when the new unit came, I unhappily agreed to the 20% discount, he said he would submit it and I would once again hear back in 24 to 48 hours. A few hours later I received an email that said they could not give me any discount and that I would have to return the unit. UNBELIEVABLE! they have some serious problems with their service department. They could have just given me the 20% discount, but now I have to return the unit, which weighs over 60 lbs, this is going to cost Walmart way more in shipping fees plus they will have to either scrap the unit or sell it as a refurbished unit unless they try to sell it as new again, which would not surprise me. In any case, this will cost Walmart way more money than to just give me a 20% discount, UNREAL!! whatever Walmart. You just earned an very unhappy customer, I will not be re-buying an A/C unit from you, I will get the replacement somewhere else! No regards, Dave
