Sturdy, well made, fully assembled. Nice finish, the top is shrink wrapped in plastic, it looks like before assembly to the legs. It does its job protecting the finish, but it stubbornly remains under the cross members. You might be able to unscrew the top a little if it bothers you, but I chose not to. I put one to use the very moment it arrived to change the batteries in the smoke detectors. I added felt stick-on pads to the feet. The hand hold works perfectly to lug it around. My wife immediately liked them. I imagine small children will love them as a seat. Comes in two pack, one for upstairs, one for downstairs. I would buy them again!

These stools are super sturdy. In fact, I purchased 20 years ago, but just moved and wanted a few more in my tall ceiling closets. I've purchased other stools in the past, but these are the only ones that I feel secure while standing on.

These stools match the three heavy coffee tables we bought for our 6-9 Montessori classroom. Perfect height, sturdy, comfortable and easy to move from table to table for solo or various small group work.
