Great brush
This brush provides the opportunity to apply Thick lush oil paint brush strokes to your painting with beautiful results!
Love these Winsor brushes. THE are just soft enough for oil paints, hol their points and study. Will continue to use them.
I teach private oil painting. Normally I wouldn't give you 2 cents for a synthetic brush but these are fantastic. They are the brushes I recommend to my new students. They are great for starting out without spending a fortune. Of course real hair are the best but these are a great 2nd. I never set down to paint without using some from this line.
It is very nice that the manufacturer does not torture or kill animals for artist's pleasure. These are better than any maimed animal brushes and I have used many brands, styles, and types of brushes for many years. These make smoother brush marks than hog hair or synthetic hog hair and are a joy to work with. These are my go to brand now for oil painting. They are not too soft nor flimsy and the strands stay in the ferrule, clean well with any medium, wash well with Master's cleaner and stay stiff. These do not disperse as other brushes I've seen do. They last long enough and the price is reasonable enough so I can buy when in need.
These are my favorite oil painting brushes for their ability to move large amounts of paint while still providing fine control and very smooth blending. I use them for both direct painting and glazing. They unfortunately tend to have a relatively short lifespan before the tip begins to spread, but I have yet to find any brush which both works as well and lasts longer, so I keep coming back to these.
The filberts are very good, handle the paint nicely and clean easily. So far they are durable with oil paint So I DO recommend them. The rounds do NOT have any point to them they are very much a cylinder and as such loose some flexibility and the ability to do fine details. So I recommend the filberts but would not again order the rounds
