I am a beginner at watercolor, but because I was frustrated with the results I was getting with cheap paints and paper, I decided to get the good paints and 100% cotton paper, even though the cost was a stretch for me. The difference it makes is phenomenal and suddenly I like my paintings. After a lot of research and reading of reviews I decided on Winsor and Newton, and I knew from the very first time I used them that they were a game changer for me. The paint is highly pigmented, goes a long way, rewets excellently, and the colors are beautiful and can be layered effectively. I am delighted with these paints. If you are doing watercolor, even if you are a beginner, get good paints like these, and use 100% cotton paper. You will be glad you did.
Whoever came up with color is brilliant, pun intended. It's bright and beautiful and enhances the colors next to it. Being professional quality, it's a joy to work with. It performs exactly as you want and expect it to perform. A must for every watercolor palette.
I have used this in several paintings recently and find that a blends very well into the same landscape along with chromium green oxide, Windsor violet, and indigo. When I tried to replace it with a different brand it was a completely different color. So I went to Jerry's Artarama to find the accurate color in the brand that I needed.
My order arrived very quickly July. A paper sample was included. Thank you. I refilled my travel palettes and have been painting my watercolors. The heavy body acrylics are helping with the quick dry-out problem.
I am often using Daniel Smith or MaimeriBlu and this is very comparable. At least in this color. I am very impressed.
Not new to me. This product has not disappointed. A rich cool yellow which offsets a warm red or yellow. Mixed with blues it makes a beautiful green.
I tried only once so far, the paint creates great granulations as I wanted It is high pigment, looking forward to play with them more
Really meets expectations, I have used Q Gold a long time
I am a watercolor painter and you all way have what I need.
Beware, this is not a single pigment, but a blend that isn't even close to any ultramarine blue. I have made paint from the eeal pigment. This isn't it.
