Can't believe this product

Rose March 5, 2016

6 months ago I took my car into the dealership because my headlights were so bad I hardly had any light shining through. Today the look about the same and it set me back 100.00 Then I ordered Wipe New and tried it...........Well let me tell you.... you can't go wrong with this product. It does what it says if you follow directions..........WOW When I think of that 100.00 I spent........but I sure learned a lesson. Now my husband wants it for his car!!

WOW, they look new -1st product that really works!

I've used many of these type products over the years and they don't last very long. But WOW, look at these. 2 Pictures. My lens's were pure WHITE and you could not even SEE the lights at ALL. Really. I've tried many different so called Restore, well, I'm really happy. I ended up having to use the sanding two times on one lens and 5 times on the other (they include a lot of stuff for that). Then wash well with water, dry, let it stand in a cool dry place, then WIPE on the RESTORE ONE (1) time all over, and DONE. Check it out!!!

Wow!

I normally don't do reviews, but this product was amazing. I would post pictures, but there is no option for that. I probably spent 10-15 minutes on each headlight (not real easy work), but the end result is wonderful. I posted pics on facebook and everyone thought the headlights had been replaced. Absolutely recommend this product.

Works surprisingly well

So, I used Wipe New on my '04 Explorer at the recommendation of my co-worker and was pleased with the results. Next time I was in Walmart, I was showing my hubby the stuff I bought and he told me my headlights looked terrible and we should try this stuff since the other worked so great. Long story short... they look brand new! And that phony picture of the brighter headlights isn't phony! I swear they are seriously brighter!

Seeing is believing

RevueDude July 9, 2015

So... my wife neglects her vehicle quite allot. We were supposed to go to mountains soon in this car, but when I drove it the other night, the headlights were SO bad that it literally looked as though she was only using fog lights at night. That is, light would show a bit on the ground a few feet in front of us. It really weirded me out thinking of traveling so far in a vehicle I could hardly see with at night. So after doing my research on the web and seeing what new headlights would cost. I looked for other avenues of salvation. New lights would cost about 80 bucks, not terrible, but the car is old. A professional headlight restoration was in the $40-$60 range. Which to me was a deal-breaker, because I'd rather just buy new lights if I'm going to get so close to the price of new headlights. Then I happened to notice pretty good reviews of the Wipe New kit. Everyone seemed pretty happy with it.. then I saw the price, Ten bucks?? Wow. So I bought this thinking the lights really can't get allot worse as is and it's just ten bucks down if I fail. I put my faith in all the glowing reviews on here. Most people said it was about 20 minutes of de-oxidizing (sanding with the green side, then the gray side of the "sanding block" included with the kit) It took me about 45 minutes on the right lense and about 30 on the left. Watching the included video from Wipe New that was included in these reviews here on the Wal-mart site was very helpful to me, I followed the directions to letter. So it required me to pick up a 32oz empty spray bottle from the gardening side of Wal-mart for that. It's really important to have plenty of water with this process. I'm not going to say that this made the headlights 100% perfect again, but I'll give it a glowing 95% easily. I don't blame the 5% to the Wipe New product either. If you let the damage keep happening for years on your lights, just ignoring the problem. The damage will begin to happen inside the lenses and through out the plastic as well. Which is what happened. This product only removes damage from the outside of the lense as I expected, but it was never-the-less a "night and day" difference in the clarity of the lights. I felt pretty good about myself when I had finally decided it was enough sanding and polishing of the lenses. But when I put the Wipe New formula on my work, it was a totally F%^&#@ "wow moment". It puts a kind of new plastic shine to things that really sets of all the hard work I put in. And my very discriminating wife almost cracked a smile about it in terms of being impressed. Then I told her she couldn't get them wet or touch the lights for 24 hours and that was over with, lol. Anyway, it's now 24 hours and I can say that the shine stayed and the formula is completely cured now. So the durability evaluation now begins. At very least, I'm sure it will help for the vacation in the mountains on a dark winding road. And so I too will lend my recommendation for this product , at least until it doesn't last as long as it claims to. But for 10 bucks, I really don't think you can do better than this. I've used another headlight restorer from a pro online detailer shop and the results for Wipe New still pop more than what I used before. Now if auto makers could just start using tempered glass instead of crummy acrylic for headlight lens material.. sigh.

Better Then I expected!

tintoyguy November 23, 2014

Our van's headlights were getting a little shabby looking, so a year or so ago I searched the web and found a "toothpaste" cleaning method. Worked my butt off with minimal results; don't do it. So I took it to our favorite car wash in May of this year and had them do it; $50. They came out OK, but not great. Two months ago my wife takes the van to the same car wash and she was told the headlight lenses need restoring. She told them you did 4 months ago. Anyway, she said no. Saw this product on TV and searched for a better price, not expecting it to work. Well I just did it today and the headlights look great. Took me about 45 minutes, mainly because I didn't know what I was doing; it will be quicker if I have to do it again. I don't know how long they will last, but I'm happy now. Highly recommended!!!

Good product

jwilkers August 23, 2014

I had used the other "seen on TV" product, and it wasn't effective. This product is great! First, you use the included abrasive to "wet sand" all the yellowing and discoloration away. After that, you apply the product. This fills in any imperfections and takes away the cloudiness. You must let it dry for an hour, and keep it from getting wet for a day. Both our cars now have perfect headlight lenses! My only concern is if/when the product "wears off" A product needing to dry implies a chemical coating that could wear off and need reapplied. I'll see what happens over time.

way to use, but i have experience in wet sanding. The instructions that come with the kit are vague at best, but the kit works well.
