I find this easier than cleaning with vinegar. I always hesitated when my keurig notified me it was time but now I just drop a tab in, follow the instructions and let it sit, then run a clean tank through. I also find this more cost-effective.

I was honestly a little nervous about descaling my coffee machine for the very first time—I didn't want to ruin it or deal with a complicated process. But this descaler was so straightforward and beginner-friendly! The instructions were simple to follow, there was no weird chemical smell, and it cleared out the buildup effortlessly. My machine is running great and the coffee tastes so fresh.

This pack of cleaning tablets is the most convenient way I've seen to clean out the coffee machine. The tablets are larger than I expected, and I was able to run it through several cycles before the 17oz of dissolved solution was used up. It did take several minutes of waiting and stirring to disolve the tablet. I do like that it has a blue color to it, though, so it's easy to see when it's coming through the machine and when it's fully rinsed out at the end. I noticed that it seems to bubble like effervescence, and I think that's the solution chemically reacting with the calcium/lime deposits. I like it when products have visual cues like that because it's not always obvious what's going on to the untrained eye. I did notice a difference after just one cleaning, so that's good reassurance it does, in fact, work. I plan to use this weekly for a while to see how clean I can really get it since there's so many of these tablets. Pros: Blue color solution. Effervescence reactions. Large quantity of individually wrapped tablets. Convenient storage box. Very low effort cleaning solution. Cons: It's not magic. Cleaning is still a process that takes time. Don't drink the blue water.
