I'm happy with the purchase. The rear view shown on the mirror is sharp and clear, on the mirror it displays the date/time and most importantly - the compass view (E, S, W or N) which is one of the reason why I bought this dash cam. Once the power is on it starts the recording, and the "loop recording" footage can be set to 1, 2 or 3 minutes so you get chunks of recorded footages, the recording continues and when the memory card is full, it loops from the start and record over the prior footages as needed. You can lock a footage to prevent it being recorded over. The footage can be viewed on the mirror, or you can take out the Micro SD card and view it on your computer. The only thing I dislike about this dash cam is that the micro SD card is not easy to take out or put back in, as the card slot is in between the GPS port and AV-IN port (rear camera connecting port), it's very annoying to get your fingers working with the card in such narrow space. The should do a re-design on this and put the card slot somewhere else, like at the bottom where the power button is
