The comfort of this product allow my feet to breathe while providing a sole the is slip proof. In my work, they are the safest.
Comfortable to wear and walk in if don't tighten shoestrings because tongue too short to secure in position and centered on foot. Tongue needs to be longer. Hzven't had inclement weather to test waterproof lining.
This is the sturdiest pair of boots that I have ever owned. I purchased a pair of winter boots and thought maybe the soles were better simply because they were for winter, but the regular pair I recently purchased is just as good. The soles are sturdy and provide excellent grip. I can't speak to how they wear in the long term yet but they are comfortable and provide excellent support. When I mention grip, I am referring to the feeling of strength and support through the ankles they provide and not to sole grip on various surfaces. I don't work on ladders or steel. They are far better than the John Deere and Georgia boots I purchased before these and cost about the same.
I have been wearing Rocky Boots for the last 20 years and love every pair that I have purchased. Without exception the Iron Clad has been my hands down favorite. They are comfortable and supportive. I spend a minimum of 10 hours a day on them and need both, comfort and support.
Its hard to leave an educated review without putting some miles on the boots. That being said, I have had my boots three weeks now. I'm a union electrician and I had a big shutdown over labor day weekend. I wore the boots 19 hours without taking them off and I must say they are a very comfortable boot. At this point in time I would purchase another pair without question. We'll see what the future has in store for long term comfort and durability.
My Husband has worn the Rocky Iron Clad 8 inch workboot for nearly as long as I can remember! He absolutely loves this boot! He originally wore the insulated version before it was sadly discontinued. However, he finds this style to be the same quality boot he is accustomed to and loves! The 400 gram thinsulate insulation was just enough for him for both cold and warm temperature regulation and he would switch back in a heartbeat if given the option! He has tried other models of your workboots, but this one suits him best! He works on a brushed concrete floor in a shop and puts nearly a million miles on his feet a week! They hold up for approximately 8 months to a year usually! Only a 4 star due to the removal of the insulation option!
I didn't realize the profile on the front of the shoe would be so tall. It felt like there was too much height inside the shoe to function as a roofing/construction work boot. It would probably be great for other industries that don't require climbing or walking on an incline. The color of the shoe also had more of a purplish hue than expected. But the quality was as expected and the cost was incredible. Sad to return and not be able to use them at such a great price point.
These “soft toe” outdoor work boots are very nice looking but there's nothing “soft “ about the toe or anywhere else on them lol. I bought my guy the 13 extra wide ( he normally wears a 13EEEE and they are NOT extra wide anything they are about the same as a regular width work boot . He is wearing them anyway because he's become accustom to wearing to small of shoes most of his life due to his foot width size . Other than them not being extra wide, they seem to be good shoes good quality just be careful if you have wide feet . They arrived early and in perfect condition
The boot itself is build very well. My biggest issue is the weight of the boat. They are heavy on my feet and to be honest they tire me out. I have this same boot for many years as a non steel toe. Skipped about 5 years with other brands. And came back to what I thought is a completely different boot.
I bought 2 pair because I wear 2 different sizes and they were 2 completely different colors. Had to return them.
