I bought the 10 and 1/2 wides. They were perfect for my feet. I use these for work shoes. Not really for hiking. But they are comfortable on my feet for 10 to 12 hour days. I bought things on sale for less than $40. And for the price you really can't beat the confident durability. I've only had these for a few months so I cannot speak for their longevity. But I think they will hold up.
Better than anticipated. Never heard of this brand before but gave them a try. It took a few mile to break them in. The soles have good traction even in Chicago snow. They are warm and comfortable. My only gripe is that the upper is a bit stiff around the ankle
Perfect blend of sneaker comfort and boot protection. Excellent light duty boot for trail hiking. As someone who lives in the Northeast, and hikes the AT, you want a boot that's flexible to traverse the rocks, yet has a grippy sole. These are one of those boots. A little more arch support would be nice, but overall highly recommend for hiking.
I always get shoes a half size bigger in an extra wide width when available because I have wide feet These shoes are roomier than I expected and a welcome fit because of it. There was not much break-in due to being quite comfortable right out of the box. I've been in snow but not deep puddles yet to test their waterproof abilities. My feet have stayed dry (and warm) so far.
Contrary to Wolverine claim that these are "water proof", they are not. There is a very porous mesh like material near the toes that is anything but water proof. That said, they are very comfortable, and great for hiking ....... as long as it's not raining.
Boot sizing is as expected. The boots fit me well. They appear well constructed. I have worn them for only 3 days. They are comfortable for walking. I think a bit more arch support would make the boots more comfortable and provide more foot support while walking.
Usable but has some flaws. The tongue is not wide enough at the bend of the boot and leaves small gaps on each side that rain/snow can get in. There is a seam inside the boot at ankle level that irritates your ankle bone if you wear think socks. Would have given a lower rating but the sale price was very good so I guess you get what you pay for.
I purchased these Wolverine Luton Waterproof Hikers mainly because the price was so good during the Holidays. I have not tried them in a wet environment, but I'm sure they will do the job for the most part. I would have provided a rating of 3.5 stars, but that is not an option. I only have a couple of criticisms. One, is a styling cue. I just wish the toe box/front of the boot area was more rounded and less pointy. That's really a personal preference. Two, the boot could use a little more padded foot bed. I can probably take care of this by purchasing a more cushioned insert. Other than that, the fit is good for my foot and overall, they are fairly comfortable.
The boots are comfortable but the waterproofing membrane and the metal shoe lace eyelet's are horrible and cheap, I've been wearing them for about a week and my socks already get wet and one of the metal eyelet is ripping.
VERY disappointed. NOT waterproof. Spent a day in/out of a car in the snow delivering packages. Toes back to mid foot was wet both feet. Have hiked many dry days in these and was satisfied. But had I not been in/out of a warm car my feet would have froze.
