I have tried many different types of sports bras for the DD size and I end up right back to the champion underwire! So anyone who needs actual SUPPORT in a sports bra, this is the best for your buck.
Champion maximum support with underwire sports bra is the only bra that I will wear while running. It provides great support for me (size D). The sizing was perfect. The fabric is breathable and there is no chafing. I've worn it on over 10 runs and I'm very happy with my purchase.
This bra works for running! As a relatively large-breasted woman, I need something to minimize the bounce. When I was undergoing breast cancer treatments and had a sore breast from the biopsy and two lumpectomies, this bra helped hold the breast still enough that I was able to exercise with minimal pain -- not running, but fast walking. Now that I'm over that, I'm running a lot and this is the near-perfect bra. My only issue with this product is that it does not open up fully in the back, making putting it on a bit of a challenge -- it really has to be done by stepping into it and sliding it up the body. But that's a minor issue compared to how well it works to minimize bounce. Finally, a bra that works! Please never discontinue it!
The bra was all right, just not for me. It was not open as I thought it would be. It was made to go over the head or be stepped into. It has been given to someone else.
It would be an amazing bra if it were something I could take off by myself. I am an able-bodied 30-something of average flexibility. I put it on and I was stuck. I had contorted my shoulders to put it on and I was physically unable to do the same motion in reverse to take it off. I was stuck until my husband could help. Yes, I bought my actual size. The clasp has little to no effect on the fit and size. There should be an option that opens the bra up more if this is supposed to fit people. I would have given five stars for the amazing support it would have provided, but minus-three stars for the panic attack I had while trapped in the bra.
The changes made to this bra make it even more difficult to get on and off. I truly love the support, and will keep it and give it a try, but I wish you could come up with a way to maintain the support of the bra and NOT require having to pull it on and off over your head. It's nearly impossible to do.
#1 - if someone is already a size DD, they don't want padding! #2 - the design (over the head) is ridiculous in this size! It is SO cumbersome and awkward and one time I took it off over my head, the wire put a cut above my eye. #3 - once you tangle your way through getting it on, it is relatively comfortable, but again, who wants the extra 1/4-1/2” added by padding when you wear a 44DD? Really? Who designs these things and then WHO tests the product??? It seems it cannot possibly be a woman of size!!!
Once you get it on...i tried pulling on like a sweater. No good. Then i tried stepping in and pulling up. Ok, that worked. But then i couldn't reach behind me to close the hooks. Husband to the rescue! Once i was in, great peoduct. But I would never have ordered, had i known it didnt have a regular closure
First and foremost - it was a pullover bra. This is an impossible design for a pullover. Then - there was a notice that said bras could not be returned because it is a personal item. SO! If you spend all this money - and you can't even pull it on - you are big time out of luck I had no choice but to throw it away. No refund or exchange options.... this was a very expensive lesson learned. I will never buy another Champion product.
Having the bra sewn in a loop and having hooks & eyes really doesn't make sense. It fits once you pull over your head, but is really difficult to put on over the head. I also find the padded cups too stiff. I'm going to keep, but am not happy with it.
