very good stuff. just lay it down with the bumpy side up so you can spread the plaster with your finger and fill all the little holes. dries very hard.

Easy to use and worked great

The Plaster Cloth made by Woodland Scenics is good for many purposes in the model trains area. First of all, it can be formed into any shape and is rugged / durable. It will not tear apart like other plaster cloth products. It is made of the material that casts are made from and is covered in plaster powder. To use, a modeler must get a bowl of warm water and select a piece of plaster cloth. It can be cut to any size. The cloth should sit in the bowl for about 5-10 seconds, or until soaked. Take it out of the bowl and form it around in any shape. This can be used to make hills, mountains (which you cover the plaster cloth on top of wadded up newspaper) and even grades. When you put it down, you must smear the plaster around on the cloth to fill in the little holes to make it completely dry and hard. You can then paint it to match the surrounding environment. This is a must have product for modelers who do landscape work to the fine scale.
