Woods 10203 Indoor Extension Cord with Lighted Foot Switch

such a convenience to use for our Christmas tree🙂

I have a small lamp that is too high for me to turn on and off so when I saw this extension cord with the foot switch, I thought that I would give it a try. This cord is just what I needed and the price is good; I'm glad that I purchased it.

I do not like turning my three knob selection on my fans, so I plug it into this extension cord and just push the button on and off and don't have to mess with exciting that I like try it

My floor is dark, the dark green cord makes it perfect. The added feature is the switch glowing with a light when turned on. I would have preferred the switch to be ON also when the lamp light is OFF.

I have similar switches from other brands that don't have these problems. I would go with another brand. Pros: - The switch works. I can switch the power on and off. - The cord is long. Longer than most extension cords I would use for the same devices. - Green. Matches Christmas tree and other lighted decor. - Resilient. I'm a big fat honking dude. I accidentally stood on the switch on a concrete surface repeatedly and nothing broke. Cons: - The switch light doesn't work. This isn't a big deal if you're using it to power a string of Christmas lights, but I'm using it to operate a pump and I can't tell when it's on and when it's not. - Poor quality sockets. I could not plug anything into two of the three sockets at the end of this cord. When you look inside them you can see that they are designed to be cheap. - Switch has no predilection to stay upright. I had to zip-tie it to a board to keep it upright. You decide: - The switch is closer to the plug end of the cord than the socket end. This might be nice if you're running it under a Christmas tree or under a couch. For my application, it would be nicer to have nearer the socket end.
