Just what I needed
I like this because I am tired of cords laying around. It seems to work really well, however the reel handle could be a little bigger. This is the one on the outer reel not the main handle. But, this is a great item and I plan on doing Christmas lights also.

Handy cord real. Well built.
Love the easy use and makes a quick roll up of cords. I have tried all plastic ones but don't last for me.

Competitor offered item was all plastic and the one I purchased from Walmart has a metal stand which I expect to last longer. Also for about the same price.

A Great Cord Reel for the Price
Was able to get 100" of 14/3 extension cord onto the reel with room to spare. By hooking the female connector into one of the clips on the reel drum, I was able to wind up the rest of the length of cord into the reel leaving the female plug end exposed along the inside of the reel, so I don't need to reel off all 100' to use the extension cord...I just need to reel off the length I need. I found the easiest way to wind the cord onto the reel is by putting it on the ground, stepping on the reel base to keep it in place, and using one hand to reel it and the other to guide the cord onto the reel neatly.

GREAT for keeping cords contained and ready to use
This is a must for keeping cords contained so they can be used without an hour of untangling them.

I like it a great deal, I have several, I use them for 16, 14, and 12 gauge extension cables. The only down is if you're reeling in a long cord like a 16/3 150 foot. I actually gets quite heavy dragging it thru the grass. Two thoughts, a platform I can snap the reel into and put my knees on it, then unsnap it and use with other reels. And a handle extension, just another piece you can put over it, screw in to the end of it. They could even be sold as extras.

Easy to put together just make sure to wind up cord so that cord extends correctly

It is missing the other round part to snap it together to roll the cord up, only the one side. You notice it right away when you take it out of the box.
