Just what I was looking for
Rounded pins easier to set time.
Easy installation and works great. Only con, cannot place 2 timers side by side. Faceplate is too big.
The item was as described and satisfied my requirements. AAA+
it seems to be of good quality, though the directions are not clear and setting the time "dogs" are really too tiny, a small screwdriver to lift or manipulate them would be helpful. Installed for months and seems to be working well.
Should have warning that instructions are for non 3-way switch. Managed to install in 3-way setup by following comments picked-up after googling for comments for 3-way installation. Can not comment on durability, just installed today!
The switch is a bit big for the switch box but DOES fit. You will need 2 wire caps (not supplied) to connect wires from the light switch to new timer. You may have to switch the black wires from your original light switch -- 1 goes to the red and 1 to the black BUT if you do it wrong, the timer will only work manually (ie: the timer doesn't work) --> you then have to take the whole thing apart and switch the wires. (The instructions DO mention this quirk). That being said, it has been up and running for 2 days now and does EXACTLY what it is supposed to do--> turn my outside LED fixtures on/off. The cost is good -- 1/3 of the cost of an electronic timer and easier to set up.
Installing timer in a wall box with other wires as in a two gang box causes the timer to malfunction due to fully tightening the screws because it distorts the timer frame. It took me 4 tries and two calls to the manufacturer to solve my problem. Only removing the timer and the adjacent switch and rerouting all of the other wires was I able to get the timer to work. The timer body is too flimsy. I am a retired electrical engineer so this should have been a snap to install and have it work.
Order first set the timer button was broken had to order another set will see how this one works
The negative reviews of others are honest. I should have listened to their advice. Instead, I purchased two Woods Timers in case the first one failed. Both failed within 6 months of normal use.
