Great value for the price or a corded one at other retailers. It also came with a battery and charger although for the power it gives out, I do not think 20 volt battery was giving enough heat for a heat gun. Nonetheless the tool works and can't beat the price!
I previously had a wired heat gun and it would get annoying fumbling around with the cable. This heat gun with battery is much easier to use and a reasonable price, not much more than wired heat guns. Definitely worth trying out if you are into 3d printing. I only need to use it in short spurts of time, but it does great at heating up quickly and removing stringing.
Price wins for me. The fact that is cordless is a big plus. Plenty of attachments. My only complaint is that the charger seems less than sturdy, but am comparing it to my dewalt and Bosch chargers so kind of unrealistic. Gets hot fast and battery lasts long enough for most jobs.
The product appears to be well put together and fairly rugged. It works great for light loads, but time will tell how it can handle under higher stress applications. Gets hot pretty quickly and for my applications (removing stickers and using on heat shrink tubing) I find it an excellent choice for an inexpensive heat gun.
I purchased this heat gun to melt frozen door knob locks around my property. It arrived quickly and in good shape. I haven't needed to use it for my locks yet but I charged the battery and tested it to make sure it at least worked. It heated up within seconds so I have no doubt that it will do the job when my locks freeze. I will update my review if need be after I have an opportunity to use it on my locks or other purposes.
does the job just as great as the big name brand guys.
I use a heat gun to remove labels / stickers from boxes. Always needing an outlet was inconvenient. This battery powered model is great. It works well, and it was reasonably priced.
first i bought this as a one time use item. it was just to make a wire repair thats why gave only 4 stars it couldn't fully melt the connector put over wire but just enough to secure wire in place. but at least battery was halfway full and took less then hour to top it off.
Ok so I have a Tesla and like adding nonsense to it. I put a spoiler with auto tape and tried to use this to just make it stick a bit better ( I put it on with another heat gun, corded) one part of the tape lifted but the spoiler is still fully on so I tried this just to get it to get it warm to put some weight to the spoiler to have it sit again. It was so weak the tape never heated up. Went through the battery thinking this will Warm up. It does but not enough to do much. This did work on a sticker I put in and just heated the glass a bit for my baby on board sticker. But even that took a bit. This thing is wack. Great idea horrible execution
I was in the midst of tinting the windows on my car when, to my dismay, the battery ran out and prevented me from finishing even one window. The frustration of being so close to completing the task only to have it interrupted was incredibly disappointing.
