World War Z (4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray)

From start to finish, this is a thriller of the highest caliber. The point of view it takes is almost that of 'what would you do' in many instances. The pace is heart pounding, and it's propelled by how the protagonist, Brad Pitt's character, must deal with an infectious outbreak of a highly communicable virus that is changing humankind into mindless zombies. To be sure, this genre has been overworked numerous times before, but what distinguishes this film from the majority of others is that it derives its suspense not from copious amounts of vividly shown gore, but quite the opposite, it deals more in inferred violence though there are some violent scenes. Once you start viewing this apocalyptic nightmare thriller, you won't be able to stop. You'll be drawn into a thrill ride that won't disappoint.

I saw the movie at the movie theater when it came out. I have the Blu ray version of this movie. The 4K version improves on the picture quality. Will continue to rewatch this movie as it is very entertaining.

My favorite zombie movie in 4k. How can you go wrong.

I owned this movie on standard bluray first. While the 4k tranfer of this movie offers a slight boost to sharpness over the standard, its noticable enough to satisfy, the real standout is in the HDR, the colors, shadows and details pop especially (without giving away specific moments in the film) in wide angle shots with alot going on... this 4k set also includes the standard theatrical vesrion as well as extended cuts both included on bluray (No 4k extended cut) 3 discs in total. would be nice to have the extended cut included in 4k but nice to see it's there on satndard Bluray disc. The sound is very nice too and it supports 5.1 surround, although not the 7.1 surround the movie still offers a very clear and robust sound quality.

solid visual upgrade to a now-classic film! it's an upscaled remaster and a lot of the cgi obviously shows its age, but that's not a fault of the transfer. good selection of extras, as it does seem to include all of the store-exclusive special features previously available on the original releases. there's also a (more expensive) Walmart-exclusive steelbook release, if that's your thing (it is mine)!

This is probably my favorite zombie movie and the 4k remaster doesn't disappoint! It's not the best looking 4k bluray but it still looks very, very good!

I ordered “World War Z” 4K, they sent me “The World Wars” on dvd. Called multiple times for an exchange or refund, gave me the run around.
