I have been looking for a good 1/2 caff coffee that actually tastes like coffee. This one checks the box. I do brew it on strong, but it's very good even on regular brew.
Coffee is delicious. Purchase and delivery process needs work. . first I was sent the wrong coffee. The company was very responsive and sent me the coffee. I originally ordered. However, there's no estimates as to when shipments will occur or delivery will occur. It would be nice to count on that.
From a person who ACTUALLY PURCHASED this product and was not given a free sample! My brief history with Mauds and dark roast K-cups/pods: I bought a personal brewer in April, 2025 and began experimenting with variety packs of K-Cups. I quickly learned that I preferred dark roast, specifically, Italian roasts. However the Starbucks brand was too bitter and nasty. So I kept searching. I also only drink half caff or decaf. I tried Maud's dark roast decaf first and loved it but it didn't pack the punch that Italian roasts did. I then tried their half caff dark roast, and found it to be the same. It was good, and it was preferred over other dark roast brands. But it wasn't the best. On a whim, I tried their espresso roast and this is my new favorite! I take it with cream, just like a regular cup of coffee (Zero Sugar Italian Sweet Creamer, or Zero Sugar Coconut, to be specific) and this espresso roast delivers a more robust aroma when brewing, and a nuttier, almost sweeter taste than the traditional dark roast. They have clearly mastered the art of roasting as these two dark roasts were subtly different from one another, but the Espresso roast was everything I was looking for. It's like, 90's era coffee house coffee, with half the caffeine for us older folks who can't handle it anymore.
I decided to cut my caffeine in half and couldn't be happier with my selection. The coffee is excellent rich and bold so happy I made the change. Thank you.
I'm a half caff person but usually not a dark roast fan. I thought i would try these since I've never run across a half calf in a dark roast, and I am not disappointed. I end up adding more milk/half n half than i did with my previous half caff to overcome the stronger taste. Make the kitchen smell wonderful!
I like the coffee… nice deep flavor. I like that the seal on the pod is easy to remove for recycling but…when the pod is going thru the brewing process, the seal is slightly separating and causing coffee grounds to spill thru and into the coffee and the brewer.

After purchasing Espresso Dark roast, which is outstanding, I was somewhat disappointed that the half calf wasn't on same flavor level. The decaf was better.
These pods drip well and don't leave a mess in the drip tray. They don't have much spice aroma but more of a smokey aroma. They work well in my Keurig machine. They are true half caff pods.
I liked the flavor of this half caff but the quality control of these k-cups are very inconsistent. some have filter issues and leak many grounds into the brew. and one today was empty of any grounds to even brew. I give up, not the world's best of they can't get the basics right.
