It's a bit wonky to hold and maybe could use an additional handle but that doesn't stop it from being a great tool. Some may not like the cord but with the amount of leaves in our yard we don't have time to change batteries every half hour. Love the metal mulcher which also has cut the number of bags almost in half!
Switching between vacuum and blower is quick and easy, so I can blow leaves together before vacuuming them. Bag is easy to get on and off and empties easily. Plenty of power whether blowing or vacuuming. Seems able to handle small twigs that get sucked up by mistake. Not too bad heavy. I have no complaints; Worx really got this right!
Our city stopped bulk leaf pick up and expect us to bag now. This Vac/Mulcher has helped me pick up thousands of pounds of leaves. With the hose attachment, I fill up bags that have 10times the leaves that you normally could fit. This is the most used outdoor tool I have. Fantastic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is perfect! I have a medium sized yard with a few big trees. The bag fits over our 95 gallon compost bin and after mowing the yard and dumping the leaves into a pile, I simply fire this bad boy up and it mulches them down to nothing! I used to fill the 95 gallon up once by just mowing the yard and dumping the in, now I can fit almost 4x the amount! Fantastic product and major time savor!
I tried it for the first time today. I had to wait for leaves to dry after wet spell. I was pleased when I turned power button up. It is sort of awkward for someone my age trying to carry the bag. Next time I may try it a different way. With power button turned up it sucks those oak leaves well and chops in really small pieces. I bought this brand because of the metal blades as I was concerned about plastic breaking. All in all so far am pleased.
I was looking for an efficient, powerful, portable leaf vacuum and mulcher to clear out my flower beds instead having to blow the Leafs out unto the lawn with all the mulch following the leaves! The WorkX Power Share Cordless Blower/Vac/Mulcher performs exactly what I was looking for. Powerful suction, great mulcher (even occasional twigs and mulch particles), very easy to put together, handle while operating, and detaching the bag to empty the mulched leaves. It even has 2-speed control to lessen the suction so that you will not pick up heavier objects like stones or chips. The only improvements that I would suggest are 1) put the 2 power control button at the top of the handles so that it can be operated using the same hand that is on the handle, as the current location under the handle is cumbersome to reach and 2 hands are needed., and 2) buy the larger 8.0Ah 20V batteries for longer usage time. You will not be disappointed in this product. 5 stars!
The manual was not up to date with the product and caused some delay when trying to move from suction to blowing with the bag on. It is, however, an excellent safety feature and ensures easier use of the machine as a blower. The unit is very easy to keep clean which is welcome when working in a garden.
BLOWER & VAC work great however my hands are not big or strong enough to detach the tube from the machine. I'm 85yo female, thus the LeafPro will need to be returned as I'm also unable to get the adjustable fabric adaptor around the machine orifice. I'm disappointed! Please help w/return/refund process. Tnx!
First non-battery powered Worx purchase. Limited use so far, but the leaves are starting to fall. First impressions, having used it once. I used the collection hose and let the chopped leaves feed into a 39-gallon roll around bin. The vacuum is loud, and generates a lot of powdery output. Might want to wear a mask. It necessarily has some weight to it so I found myself switching hands a lot. The real test starts pretty soon. My plan is to blow the leaves all together into a large pile(s), then use the vacuum to suck the pile(s) without having to move around so much. The volume reduction is great. I think it will work well for me.
I wanted to love this. I really wanted it to grow on me, but the more I used it the more convinced I was that this was not the answer to my yard problems. Is it powerful, yes. Is it inconvenient to drag a cord around? Not really. I hate having to stop and recharge batteries. My issue was this is not for pine needles at all. I also have a big oak tree and plenty of leaves too, but I can't really separate the two while raking and pine needles don't provide the flat surface that causes resistance enough to be pulled into the vacuum. I could stuff the pine needles in, but if I am picking up pine needles then I might as well throw them in a bin. Does it mulch them? Eh, a little bit. Not enough to be impressed by. This is heavy too. The first few minutes are fine but after 20-30 mins it's awkward and very heavy. It doesn't help that I am left handed and it's designed for right handed people. There's only one handle and when the bag isattached, it's designed for only holding on your right side. You find yourself wanting to hold it up with your other hand to lesson the weight, but with one handle you can't. How's the blower? Again, meh. My old Works blower had a blowing speed of 130 miles. It could blow wet heavy clumps of pine needles like they were nothing. This blower is about 70 miles of blowing speed and I could feel the difference. I think when you buy tools that are “combo” tools you're going to lose significant power in each function. I am returning this after 2 days of use. It turns out to be much quicker to rake my piles and bag them the ole fashioned way. I will replace this with my previous Works corded blower (it died after 6 years of good use) and I am considering the Works pine needle composter. You place it on a rack over a bin and it grinds your pine needles right into a bag. At least that way I will wind up using much less bags. All and all this might be a great solution if you only have leaves, but for pine needles it's sorely lacking.
