I'm loving this trimmer. I've had multiple back and neck surgeries so weight is my biggest consideration when making purchases for this type of product. It's so lightweight yet works like the ones I see the professionals use. I have hardly any strain on my back and neck when using this trimmer. I couldn't have made a better purchase. Very happy with my purchase.
I bought it yesterday for use at a vacation property and had to try it out. Lots of power with a very wide cutting path. Cons: when trying to cut grass close to ground string digs in easily and cuts down to dirt. Box shows an accessory spool that looks like it should be in box. Seems like it is already installed. Pros: Line advance works exactly as expected. Users who complain of excessive string consumption need to realize that every time the spool is almost stopped it feeds out string. Keep it running until it is noticeably worn and it will do a lot of trimming.
Very easy to use. I am short so a lot of trimers on the market are longer and heavier making it difficult to use for extended periods of time. Worx is the perfect size and weight . Easy to replace string. Excellent value for price paid.
I am so pleased I purchased this item. It has the power of a gas trimmer and is very light weight making it easy to use. The handle is adjustable & is everything I was hoping it would be. It has a warranty for 3 years & the price is right!
I bought my first Work trimmer around seven or eight years ago. Since then I have bought a. Power drill, another drill and a small screw gun. I like the products because they're easy to use and as a woman I don't have to mess with gasoline and oil. The trimmer is light weigh enough to handle for the small person that I am.
It's hard to handle. It's too heavy and string gets broken easily.
Quite heavy and a little awkward to use.
After I fell in love with my Black & Decker GrassHog, it eventually broke down. I searched and searched and could not find it again. After what I though was a lot of research and hesitation, I finally opted for the Worx Trimmer. Boy was I disappointed. There were no instructions, just a cheap pamphlet with a few words and even fewer pics that didn't help at all. It was considerably heavier and shorter than the GrassHog. The guard seemed to be made of very cheap plastic that felt as if it would break if a good sized rock got caught up in the weeding process. Once I actually starting weeding, everything was flying all over the place and I was getting covered with all of it as if the guard didn't even exist. The only time I didn't have the shredded bits covering me, was during the times I had to constantly stop and manually feed the lines. I generally love weeding, but this product actually made me deplore it. It got the job done eventually. But for the first time, it felt like a chore.
String melts and sticks together. The plastic spool melts and sticks to the string. Then it won't feed and you have to open it up and break the string apart and rethread the string again. You spend more time playing with the string then you do weed trimming. I thought it was just the sting that came with the trimmer so I went out and bought some more a different brand and it did it again and again and again. Good strong motor does a good job for the few minutes it does work. Then again I do not have all day to play with the string. Very disappointed.
Bought this, and tried it out right away. Was hoping 6 amp would be a good dependable and powerful too. Balance is terrible -- makes it feel way heavier than it should. Telescoping handle is too short. Support handle doesn't adjust to where you can use comfortably. Double string feed does not seem to allow for good angle of attack for trimming. And small diameter string wears off very quickly. Automatic bump line feed is a joke. Doesn't work. Have to turn over and do manually every couple minutes or less
