Worx WG284.9 40V Power Share 24" Cordless Hedge Trimmer (Tool Only)

This is the best trimmer we have ever had. The longer blade helped us trim tall bushes without a ladder. It cut through limbs and leaves like butter. Will recommend it to everyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a gas trimmer for a long time and I hate it, pull start and the thing was cold blooded, took for ever to start and it was loud and heavy. Worx trimmer is light and push button to start and doesn't make much noise at all.. and the handle feels great and you can even rotate it if you need to.. I love this thing and have shown all my friends ..

If you already have pair of 20 volt Worx batteries that are the same amperage (Pair of 2 (2 amp) or 2 (4 amp), etc) this is the easiest way to upgrade to a medium duty hedge trimmer. It really does provide 40-volt power. Good for maintaining tall or wide hedges. However, if your hedges haven't been maintained and are badly overgrown you may want a more powerful trimmer. The max cut diameter is listed as 3/4 inch but the cutting teeth are only a half inch long so if you come across a 3/4 inch diameter branch you have to cut partially through on one side and then switch to the other side to finish cutting through. For this reason I would list the max cutting diameter as 1/2 inch instead of 3/4. It does not have a brushless motor so it has a somewhat high pitched whine when using it. Well made, should last a long time. The rotating handle is definitely a plus.

I always had trouble with my previous hedge trimmers, either the electric ones which I never had extention cords long enough to do the job right, or the gas ones that were just to heavy. This tool has made my life so much easier, in fact, I don't even mind trimming my hedges anymore. Worx whole line is remarkable. I have purchased many of the tools and never am I let down by the job they do! Thanks Worx for making a single woman's life much easier!

I bought this last month and have used it twice. This hedge trimmer cuts large and small limbs with ease. Makes a nice cut without chewing off the ends. Charge life of batteries is very good for tackling large jobs with over 40 minutes of power between charges. The unit is light weight and comfortable to use. I am very happy to have this tool. It is well build and durable for years of servicw.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My gas trimmer broke so I ordered this trimmer to get me through till I repair it. Figured this would be a good backup. It cut like my gas trimmer and has a rotating handle to reduce fatigue. I no longer need my gas trimmer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so pleased with the 40V Cordless 24" Hedge Trimmer (WG284) that I then purchased both the 40V Hydroshot Portable Power Cleaner (blower) and the 13" Cordless String Trimmer & Wheeled Edge (WG184). All are useful, easy, good balanced weight, and easy enough to recharge the batteries. Great value, all.

Hedge Trimmer arrive quickly, was easy to assemble and charge. Have not used the trimmer yet.
