Wright Products Standard Duty Steel Pneumatic Screen Door Closer, Black Finish

These Wright Products door closures were bought to replace the original Wright Products closures that were installed here at least 20-25 years ago. That's not to be a negative reflection on the longevity of the product. Hello, happy homeowner! Your home and its components age as does your own body. At age 78 I should know. That said; these closures are brand-name, competitively priced, and available from Walmart with free and speedy delivery. Oy! What more to say?! These will last another 20-25 years. I won't. (smile)

My previous storm door closer was supposed to be automatic hold and then release, but the release function was troublesome (like it did not work and the door was stuck open), so I bought a traditional model and just closes the door, but with a little slidey thing that will hold it open. Only rarely do I want the door held open, so good and quick closing strength is more important. This does the job.

The price was decent. I can only guess about the quality as who knows if it will break tomorrow. Assuming it doesn't any time in the next decade, the quality is fine.

No parts missing. Not made of cheap plastic. Directions are small so maybe use your glasses- unless you can just figure it out. Pretty straightforward.

Awesome, lightweight. I use it on my bedroom door!! My husband has a neurodivergent degenerative condition and tends to slam doors to no control of his own. This is the perfect solution for wherever it's needed.

It slows down an old wooden screen door that was slamming shut after opening, but it still slams a little right before closing altogether. I probably need to tweak it some more. At least the screen panel on the door isn't slipping out on the bottom. Old door, old house, sometimes things don't work like they used to.

After getting this for my front screen door and putting it on I discovered it does not work that great .had to adjust it several times. The old one worked better than this one. I give a 3 star and will not be ordering any more I do not recommend it but who knows it may work for you.

I gave 3 stars because this is solidly average. Closes our light screen door about 1/2 the time which is what I expected without adjusting it to slam the door.

It does pull the door closed and does it without slamming the door. However after only a few weeks this thing started making a horrible sound that I can't even begin to describe. I would recommend looking for something that is higher quality. It's frustrating to already need to replace it.

Completely satisfied with the product. Totally unsatisfied that I had to jump through hoops to purchase this product. Why, when you have THOUSANDS of products on your shelves, does something so small need to be in your (in-store)WAREHOUSE where I have to purchase the product online, and can't come inside to CLAIM the product after purchase.??I could see if it was a huge/expensive item, but a 12" door closure kit? Nope, it will be AMAZON from now on.
