Battery Cam

Barry April 14, 2026

Great product. Night vision is better than expected. While daylight is the standard we expect from Wyze. Still determining battery life but we are 2 weeks in and all is well.

Works well

Anonymous April 6, 2026

A little confusing at first. I use this cam in conjunction with two wired cams. At first, the battery would expire in less than 48 hours. By changing various settings, I am close to the advertised life of 6 months.

A Versatile Camera & Light Combo

Anonymous January 5, 2026

I purchased 4 of these cameras to provide video coverage of my exterior AND to provide much needed light in dark outside areas. They have performed admirably and have done what I expected from them. If you use multiple Wyze Battery Cam Pro cameras, do yourself a favor and purchase an extra battery, or two, so you won't have to be without video/light when one or two batteries need recharging at the sane time.

Almost perfect

Keri Dee March 8, 2026

I love the Battery Cam Pro, but was a little disappointed that I had to buy a subscription in order to use many of the features. It's a small amount to pay for the features available. I wish that Wyze would offer a printed manual, but they do provide support via chat or phone.

It is always a Balance or Trade-off

Paul K August 25, 2023

As someone who started with a V2 in a housing, and then changed to a V3, I now have a couple years worth of experience in both trying to stay connected to the Wi-Fi and having adequate power to run the camera when it is at my front gate (~450ft from the house). Ironically, for us, the challenge was never the Wi-Fi, but it was always the power. Inevitably, my step-converter would always end up draining my solar charged battery. When Wyze announced this product, I bought it immediately. This is what I was looking for and it would remove all my anxiety about the camera draining the marine battery that was there to power my gates. Installation went quick, both hardware and connection, as we have come to expect from Wyze. All in all, it's a great product. The only shortfall is the one that I did not consider in advance. It's always a balance of performance versus power. Again, because it's at the front gates, I have a need to know what's going on or rather what has happened. The camera set up for max recording time of two minutes with no cool down. What I've seen is after a motion event, it takes a while for the camera to turn on, and begin to capture an event. I maxed out range and sensitivity to try to pick up an image, quicker or rather further away from my property, but it still clips several seconds off the front of a recording, and if FedEx or UPS are dropping off packages, even only 20 feet away, it will end a recording and start another one. Now if I am in your shoes I might be thinking “wow, if you maxed out sensitivity and radar range with a two minute max recording and no cool down what is your battery life like? “Well, to be honest, it is incredible. Almost too incredible. After about four weeks, the camera is still around 74% charged. And if I'm in the designers shoes right now, I might be thinking “wow that's really good battery life with those settings! “And I would agree. I understand that it's a balance or a trade-off between performance and battery life, I'm just hoping that in a future update, the user can have more control over using more power as a trade off for more frequent charges,. I would happily trade more battery recharges, or putting another solar panel in if I could get shorter start up in more sensitivity. All in all a great product, I've already recommended it twice, noting the limitation that I have found for my application, but one which will not affect where my friends may be able to use it. Great Job Wyze!

Third camera is the problem child

Crafthacker January 22, 2026

I have 2 other cameras (same model). I was very happy with them so I thought I would add a third. This one has been very problematic and I should probably send it back. It doesn't alert me like the others do or when it should, but it will randomly sound the alarm though it is in a closed garage. I've updated the software but still happens.

Detects nothing too often

PH September 6, 2025

Easy to install but the battery does not last 6 months as advertised. It detects every little motion causing the battery to die within 1 week. Even when I turn the detection sensitivity down to the lowest setting it still detects nothing there. A shadow could set it off. Also causes the spotlight to constantly turn on. Finally I just gave in and got the solar battery.

Feels like I'm being punished for buying

p August 31, 2025

NONE too happy about the 40% price drop 3 wks after I paid top dollar. I checked, they won't match the reduced price. Just makes me want to hold off on future purchases--if any. Major loss of confidence. Camera's ok. Easy to setup/mount. Convenient access to battery/SD card. Alerts could be more timely and reliable. Could use a faster load of real time feed.

Should be better!

Steve November 3, 2025

I have many cameras and accessories that I'm happy with but this one, a disappointment. Optics are great, LED is great, size and mount is great, but with everything on the lowest setting possible, 24 hours of battery life is a deal breaker! I went back to the 1st generation wireless cam for my needs and MAY still use the 2nd gen as a wired device.
