Wyze Battery Video Doorbell with 1536x1536 HD, Wireless/Wired Security Camera, Color Night Vision and Two-Way Audio

The wiring to our doorbell is outdated to put it politely and the quotes to get it replaced and properly attached to the regular doorbell was outrageous...thank heavens literally 2 weeks after that quote, an ad for Wyze battery powered doorbell camera popped up!! I bought it, installed in like 15m (brick sucks to drill through), and even attached a separate solar powered battery pack. The only downside is no continuous recording like our other cameras. The quality is solid, couple options for alerts to the person walking up to the camera about being recorded. All around I really like it and have absolutely no issues. We also have 2 floodlight security cameras, 3 indoor cameras, and a light bulb camera. So we are very deep in the Wyze space lol.

I am very impressed with the wyze battery video doorbell. It's simple to set up, charge and configure and works like it should.

It is working very good and it was easy to activate. I like it.

I was looking for a new Video Doorbell, and I already used other Wyze Outdoor Cameras. I watched the founder of Wyze demo the Wyze Battery Video Doorbell and was impressed by the ease with which he went through the initiation process. So I bought one and wala, it was as easy as advertised. I had it up and going in about 5 minutes and install on my house in less than an hour. It works great and if I were someone looking for a relatively inexpensive Video Doorbell, this one is one I would highly consider.

This Wyze doorbell camera v2 is great for the price. Had an easy hard wired installation thank goodness. Just follow along in the app with instructions before during and after installation. Still need to get the mechanical doorbell add on to make indoor mechanical chimes work. Camera captures “motion” quite often, like every 5 minutes so I've turned off notifications as it made my phone light up every 5 minutes. I set the capture sensitivity to 3 and it still grabs images every few minutes. Good quality images, kinda hard finding many live event videos on the SD card but all in all this seems so far to be working as I expected. With the economy, won't be getting the subscription though the monthly price is more then fair. The actual chime sound that is coming from the camera itself sounds low even at level 5, so it's probably a good idea to get ours working with the existing doorbell chimes. Why doesn't Walmart sell these mechanical chime adapters? 18$ is kinda steep on Wyze's website. Still a great deal.

The product is as expected from Wyze - solid performance at a reasonable cost. Video is clear and the intercom function works well. The installation instructions are poor, and installation took longer than expected. Still working through the detection settings.

It was very easy to install. Now just waiting for Wyze to have the wifi chime back in stock so I can order it.

Video quality is good. Captures motion and events well. Battery seems to go down somewhat quickly compared to the other cameras I got. My only real complaint so far is there is a blur on the lens that blocks out certain things. I've tried cleaning it several times and it won't go away. Maybe it got scratched? Not sure. Also I ordered the security door mount for apartments that said it was specifically for this camera, and the camera was too small. I had to stuff a paper towel in there to secure it.

While the camera and service is great, the ability to take the camera is so easy a five year old can take it off. The brand Wyze promotes security but abandons securing the doorbell camera. I came from using a Ring doorbell where a simple screw was used which was a slight deterrent, Wyze doorbell has no deterrent what so ever, just a slight tug from the top and it's gone. The only reason I switched from Ring doorbell to Wyze was to have all cameras under the same app.
