The bulb camera has proven very versatile. I was able to use it inside a window pointing to the driveway. The outside light where I planned to use it had a shroud around the bulb socket that was too narrow for the bulb camera to fit. I was able to adapt and the indoor application, pointing outside which is better to be a long lasting solution protecting the camera from weather as well as protecting the camera from theft.

We have a house where we wanted to mount a camera on the outside wall, to get a good view. We could do that, but there would be no way of powering it (we wanted to avoid solar because the house is located in a shady area, er, an area with shade). The ability to be screwed into our outside light socket makes this a real winner!

This is my 5th Wyze camera. I am using the bulb cam, under an eave, about 15 feet over my backyard. I watches the entire backyard and parts of our neighbor's yards. The "ambient bulb" is perfect at its lowest setting. I had to use an "E26 socket extender" to use it in a flood light bulb socket.

Love the safety I now feel when I leave my home. I was dealing with porch pirates stealing my packages. Now I can record and safeguard my house while im away for days at a time. Easy to install and operate. The lights are automatic and very bright. I love these cameras.

i have really been happynwith this little camera. i have a ring doorbell camera but this one is WAY better at detecting motion. I love being able to use it as my side porch light and being able to set the on and off times for the light. I did get the basic subscription plan but its only $30 for the year and I love the additional features it unlocks for me. There r more expensive plans but the cheap works 4 what I need. If you have a porch light that allows you to screw the bulb straight in and the housing is open on the bottom this is great. if u have an enclosed bulb or one that screws in sideways. it will not work.

The company did a great job at rushing us 2 replacements because the first 2 didn't work. I love that we can keep an eye on our house while gone. We have 2 cameras inside and the 2 bulb cams at each porch. The cams inside connect effortlessly but these are slower at connecting and sometimes are offline for short periods, while the other 2 are still on so it's not a wifi issue.

Set the camers up in an easy to get to outdoor fixture before placement. Had it up and running with its MicroSD card in about 10 minutes. Added the new camera to the existing network group and let it run for a day before final placement. The only reason for 4 vs 5 star is there is no setting for length of video as in other Wyse cameras however, it does record all movements and is accurate with the subjects observed, people, vehicles, pets etc.

Doesn't function well as part of a Google Home installation. Not too bad using the Wyse app, but the detection sensitivity picks up headlights and other distractions that cannot be eliminated by adjusting either the camara detection zone or the camara sensitivity resulting in unnecessary notifications.

I asked a neighbor to install it on my very high porch ceiling. Then I tried to connect to it later, but it requires it be unscrewed and the power off before installation, which required me to get out the ladder again and climb an 8' ladder past 6'. Not for anyone but the young and able bodied. Then the wifi was too weak, many prompts to get to that point. Another password for that. Even though I had the password correct, it didn't work, so I had to figure out how to turn on autofill on my phone. Enough already with the passkey and password problems!!! If you install it in a sconce, it would be easily stolen.

I'm VERY ANGRY 😡! When you sell a product, the first thing you should do, is to let customers know that it IS NOT COMPATIBLE with something pertaining to that product. EXAMPLE: THIS PRODUCT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 5G! BUT you just let consumers THINK they're getting a GREAT PRODUCT when in reality you're just deceiving them! Most people don't wanna bother with returns because: IT WAS ONLY $50, It's a small loss! I know that some electronics have the tech to change from 2G to 5G. As far as I know this one doesn't have that capability. I paid about $150 for a lightbulb camera on May 20th. Went to their website and complained. NO RESPONSE ! Called the Company a couple of days later and the Rep. was rude and said it was in the Warehouse going to be distributed. Tracking %23 didn't help either. SO I emailed them and threatened to contact the FBI AND FILE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT after I saw 136 ONE STAR REVIEWS. Guess what? They emailed me today saying they're giving me my money back. I was ELATED when I got my WYZE LIGHTBULB CAMERA last night and it only took about 10 -20 minutes for them to deliver it! NOW DO YOU KNOW WHY I'M SO ANGRY? dotcomproducts. org is the Company I threatened a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT WITH! And they're giving me my money back after I emailed them yesterday yelling LAWSUIT!
