I have 2 of these Wyze lock Bolts. They have been so helpful in many ways. 1. Locks itself after you set the time parameter (in case you forget to lock it). 2. I can let someone else in to walk the dogs, etc. 3. There are 3 options to open: finger print, enter code on the keypad, or someone can unlock from inside. I have had only one issue and it was with installation (the wire was in the way of the dead bolt mechanism and it gets stuck. I can drill more room but it's a fire rated door so I'd rather not compromise that integrity. The locks work well and you can program different fingerprints. Such a great price.
I love the Wyze products. This is the best electronic lock that I have found in the market for the price. Very well built and does not have cheap parts. This is my third deadbolt, my first one is 3 year old and working flawless. My brother just bought one for his house too.
There's no key, you can set fingerprint and code entries, it can be done person-by-person so you can see who is coming and going. Security seems good as well, and installation is easy/intuitive. If there's any struggles though, there's a video online or a walkthrough in the app to help along the way. Once things are up and running the lock was easily found in the app and consistently connects. I have been using the lock for about a month and things are going great so far. Also able to set an auto-lock timing in case you forget to push the button on your way in/out.
It was easy to install, great integrated installation video. Easy to configure access settings. It would be nice to be able to access it remotely via internet but it only has Bluetooth integration no WiFi. Still it is a great device.
Purchased two for the house from the app . Very easy to install & quick. A friend recommended and Now have multiple cameras, door bells and locks.
Very easy to install and looks good. I would have like a more durable interior cover, I'm a little worried that I will break one of the clips while changing the batteries.
The lock itself is great! It's a shame the dimensions of the internal tail that turns the deadbolt latch is too wide to use a standard latch, nor does the tail swivel like a conventional deadbolt lock, but is fixed in its orientation to the thumb turn. If the tail had these standard attributes, a person could install the lock using an existing deadbolt latch installation, and not have to retrofit with the Wyze deadbolt latch. In addition, the Wyze deadbolt latch is not the modern/common hammer-in style, but requires the door edge to me mortised, so the Wyze latch can be installed flush with the door edge. This requires small wood chisels and some skill to make it look good. Fortunately I was a locksmith early in life, and I could do this part, but many would have poor aesthetics. Also, I will have to leave the lock when I move because of the mortise; I can't reinstall the original hammer-in style latch now. This part of the system could have been designed much better. I'll attach photos of a hammer-in (round) and mortise (rectangle faceplate) deadbolt latched for clarification, if possible.
This was a “Wow!” I was mist impressed with the quality of the unit's components, simplicity of installation, and ease of programming. I set up three user codes but did not program the fingerprint. I guess I'm just not certain of the security of having my prints out. I have four Wyze cameras, and am considering a flood light for my barn. Products are great.
Very affordable which is great with all Wyze product's which I own several in different categories. The lock was easy to install, setup and use but the reason for my 3⭐ rating is the fingerprint sensor I have been able to use one time. The other negative is it doesn't come with a manual to walk you through thing's such as getting the fingerprint sensor working, and I should of bought the other lock that connects to my internet instead of WiFi. Other then those couple thing's I do love it!
The lock is cool I like the look of it but there are two things that I can think of I don't like. First of all you don't receive any notifications that the has been locked or unlocked, also along with that if someone unlocked the door using their code you don't know who did. I also hate that the lock doesn't sense when the door is open or closed, so if the door is open it's still going to lock I wish it could sense when the door is open like the old one
