Wyze Solar Panel - WSP2W - White - New

I purchased this for the outdoor camera in my chicken coop. So I will specify that I do not have motion detection turned on. I only use it to check in. But I installed the solar panel with the camera being completely dead. Within a few days without me charging it, it was at 100%.

This was awesome. They advertised it saying that it extends time between charges, my camera was at 26% when I installed it. Within three days (2 were cloudy) it was up to 100%. I've had it for two weeks and it is always 100% charged. I'll never have to take it down and charge it.

I set up 2 outdoor cams and set up 2 solar panels to power them they are in shade most of they day in the sun about 3 hours power up cameras from 20 per cent to full in 2 days if had full sun would be 1 day easy to set up and use would buy again of get another camera I live in Sask, Canada

Very easy to install. Took me maybe fifteen minutes until it was up and charging. Well built with plenty of adjustment. Only thing I can think of to make it better would be to add another extension with a ball joint for more adjustment. I mounted mine on the west side of my house and can only get it flush with the roof. One more joint and it would be above the roof where I can turn it more.

These keep the batteries on my Wyze Battery Cam pros at 100% in the spring, summer, and fall. During the winter with the shorter duration of sunlight, they keep the batteries above 80% unless it is a particularly sunny day. Regardless they make a battery camera just as reliable as a plugged in one with the benefit of not needing a nearby outlet.

So far the solar panel works well enough to keep my cameras topped up. Theyre a bit pricey compared to the cameras and brings the total cost up a fair bit. I wish these had batteries built in so they could power *any* wyze cam, not just the battery cam.

I purchased two, should have gotten three for my outside cameras but didn't. The one up front keeps the camera charged at 55% all the time, the one in the rear keeps the camera charged at 100% all the time. Weird, front get's more sunshine and I live in Texas with plenty of that.

Works well to keep the Outdoor v2 camera charged. I have it south facing, in Coastal Maine, and still can keep camera charged well, even with low and short in December sunlight. Would be 5 starts except the plug that goes into the camera does not "click" in, so it works itself loose with wind or shaking of the camera and then loses contact so battery stops charging. Needed to use two cable ties wrapped around body of camera and across the solar panel plug to hold it firmly in place so water cannot get in the port and the charging plug stays in contact so batteries can charge.

I bought the bird feeder with solar panel and Battery Cam Pro April 2025 for my wife for her birthday. She loves it! However, since then I've had to replace the magnifier band and connecting cable due to squirrel damage. That's not the problem though. The main problem is the solar panel, even through following cleaning maintenance instructions, just does not power the camera anymore as it should. Granted, when it's charged at 100%, it will last a while, but over the last few months, on the brightest days, the charging percentage just does not increase. It's currently at 10% and still dropping. Not sure what else to do.

I apologize for the rating but I didn't realize cuz I didn't read all the like instructions I guess but they don't work for but only two cameras which kind of sucks but still nice idea and I love the company so sorry
