Bought since my old house has cold spots and to ensure my kids room was staying at a good temp at night. Well it has done that perfectly, my house seems to be more even temperatured. I keep a 3+- degree for all of them. Only wish I could set a which one I want to be the focus when the thermostat is set to sleep. maybe there is and I haven't figured it out yet lol. Love this product.
My house had certain spots tgat never seem to get warm. I placed two room sensors one in the living room one in the bedroom. Heat immediately began dispersing evenly across our home. In addition, the furnace is running about 25% less per day. Very happy.
Nice sleek design and easy to configure. The smiley/frowny face is a little odd, if anything it would be nice to be able to program thresholds so that you get alarmed if the humidity or temperature drops or rises above the threshold
they work as they are supposed to but they should be a option to have your cooling system or heating system controll from the sensor
Like all Wyze products, setting up the sensors was simple and they connected right away to the thermostat. As others have complained, the humidity reading is vastly different from the thermostat but easily rectified by correcting the thermostat temperature. I feel that the sensors are more accurate anyway. I like how they do their job simply and think they are equalizing temperatures when I'm in the basement or bedroom. Hopefully in the future Wyze will build a report into the app to give me better feedback on what's happening. I also wish they would let me create rules based on humidity so I could run the humidifier only as necessary.
I really love this product. It great to be able to see the temp in each room both visually and on the app. But, I can use the regular sensors and get 3 in a box for the same price as one of these. This is just a bit too pricey. It does talk to the thermostat but think of this.... if one is hot and one is cold.... your singe AC unit really cant do rooms differently. SO this is nice, but still not necessary when you have the non-led probes. Remember WYZE....I do love ya :)
I am usually impressed with Wyze products, but this was a rare miss. I bought a 3 pack and they all vary by 2-3 degrees with no option to apply a correction offset. I also was hoping for more of a range of controls in the thermostat app -- It really only has an option of "auto comfort on" or "auto comfort off" with no details as to what that actually means.
Price is to high first of all, than an LED motion or button to press to light up to read the display because it's hard to read at nights
I have a 2story house with basement with only one zone. I bought these with the thought that I would be able have the AC kick on if another room got above a set temperature. It turns out when you set the system to use these in comfort control it just averages the temperature and tries to cool the whole zone (whole house in my case) to that temperature. my upstairs is around 10 degrees F hotter and would never shut my AC off if tried to get it down to the set temp. It would be much better if that it had its own independent threshold so that it would turn on if the hotter room is above temp even if the main room is in temp. I did get this before the start of the heatwaves we have been getting so I'm not sure how it is going to work in the winter and between so I don't think just upping the main unit ranges will work for those times.
It's a fine little device as far as the hardware goes. But it does not function as a thermostat for another room or other area in the home. For some reason I do not understand, Wyze chose to average the temperatures of the main thermostat and this remote to control temperature instead of simply letting the user choose which thermostat they want to govern and when. It didn't cost much so I've kept it around in the hope Wyze will fix the software so this works like 99% of the world would expect it to.
