Wyze Video Doorbell Pro

This works better than ring.com because of its more advanced software. I just wish it had local storage for the maximum SDXC, Apple HomeKit, and 2K HD. It seems to be stronger than it version 2 sibling. I have that version 2 device and I am looking to swap the Pro on the front door and use it on back door when there is more car activity from the parking lot cars. Version 2 should have a PRO version with all the features described above but storage for 1TB or better and optional chime. Right now my phone rings when someone is at the door and all by Alexa smart speakers also get into the act which is great but secure encrypted HomeKit video would be even better when I am across the country.

My first Wyze Doorbell Pro had issues with the microphone, so I contacted customer service. After walking through trouble shooting, our chat was disconnected on the last step. The customer service rep emailed me with instructions on how to replace the doorbell in case our last step didn't work. I followed the steps and received the replacement in a matter of days. My replacement works perfectly!

So much clearer and wider view then the original Wyze Doorbell (still a decent option though). Loved that they added the ability to work with the Wyze Deadbolt (which is not Wi-Fi connected, only communicates via Bluetooth). I cannot attest to the battery life since I upgraded from my old Wyze doorbell and just keep it powered up the same. Honestly is probably the better route for these types of devices. I will echo the same sentiments that most have and just wish Wyze would allow us local backup/recording on a SD card but I would be lying if I didn't say I wasn't really pleased with this device. Just an all around superior door bell to the original.

I have only 2 complaints with this thing. 1) The speaker on the doorbell itself (not the come, but the past with the camera that goes outside) is war protectingly loud and cannot be adjusted. 2) Almost everyday the come loses connection with the doorbell and it fails me. Sometimes this corrected itself, but usually I have to unplug the chime and plug it back in again to get it to start working again. When working, it works flawlessly so I am fairly confident the issue is not range. I'm getting a timer for the chime just too turn it off and on again everyday. Other than these, this doorbell is amazing!

I was disappointed in a few things with the doorbell. 1. Your marketing does not show that it can be plugged in. It was a nice surprise that it could but I didn't find that out until I got it open. 2. Limiting it to one chime. which is not very loud is a problem. we really need to be able to pair it to multiples to cover the hole house. 3. The inability to record to a SD card locally. great feature for the other cams you provide why not the doorbell? A better camera and the addition of the rechargeable battery are great for version 2.0 but the loss of other functionality from Version 1 really doesn't warrant the pro tittle.

Works good, nice clear picture, large view and extremely easy install and set up, especially with a dual band (5G and 2.4G) router system. This camera will work on 5G (I have had some great difficulty getting the Wyze v3 2.4G cameras to connect to my dual band system; never an issue when it was just 2.4Gb). Some annoying things like sometimes the battery percentage keeps toggling off for some unknown reason. Also, the video will be all black when trying to view but it does still record clear, confirmed when doing playback. These annoyances aside, it's a solid camera and the doorbell works 100%.

Setup went well with the only glitch that using the wedge mount is not compatible with using the adhesive strip. With the wedge configuration I was forced to use screws on the wood brick molding instead of the adhesive on the metal trim. Future removal will leave holes that need repair.

While the new Wyze Door bell Pro form factor is great and competes well with others like Ring, the Wyze Doorbell Pro misses the video quality mark. The biggest problem with this model is the the fishbowl lense view. its like looking out of that window on the Disneyland submarine ride. Compared the the Wyze Doorbell standard great field of view using a mobile device, I am instead forced to look at a 2.5 inch diameter circular view. Why cant this view be squared off like the standard doorbell? At least give us the option. For me its a big swing and a miss , so I will be putting back my Wyze Doorbell standard for now; that looks so much better on iphone 13 Pro.

The camera works intermittently and I can't get the update to install. I thought I had bad hardware so I even replaced the camera only to get the same problems.

Does not work well for me. It only work for about an hour and i have to unplug the chime and plug it back in. Then it works we for about another hour and the stops again. I need to get a wyze plug and set it up to go on and off every hour. I think this will keep it working. I have not mounted it yet . This is set up in my living room where the router ,chime and doorbell are all within 8 feet of each other and the battery in the doorbell is over 90 percent charged. Thier other products I own work great just not this one
