Works great with my mailbox which is around 70 feet away. It was very simple to set up and install and so far has worked flawlessly. Note: As expected, the instructions aren't that good. The base unit alarm is loud (and I mean very loud) and unfortunately cannot be adjusted, it can only be on or muted and which is adjusted in the app's 'Mailbox Alarm' unit settings, not the 'Base Station' unit settings, even though the sound is coming from the base station. The 'Base Station' volume settings is for the electronic voice only. The blue or red light indicator on the base station and notification on my phone is good enough for me, so I ended up muting the notification beep, would startle me when it would go off.

This works exceptionally well for my mailbox. The alarm would trip from anywhere I tried in my home with the mailbox about 50 feet away. I opted to mount the sensor with a couple of 4-40 screws instead of the double backed tape for better longevity. Drilling and tapping the existing holes worked well. The only issue I had was during the pairing of the mailbox sensor in the app. My mailbox type is the second choice within the setup options. Selecting that displayed the first option mailbox. It appears that the two options are swapped, at least in my copy of the app. Once I selected the "wrong" mailbox option, the setup went smoothly. I like the many option in the app. It has multiple alarm tones, including my wife's favorite, a barking dog. It also records the time and date of mail delivery and alerts me with a tone on my phone. This is the main reason I purchased this. I receive perishable medication in the mail that cannot get too warm or freeze. Now I will know instantly when to retrieve my mail.
