X WD Purple 10TB Surveillance Hard Drive Hard Drive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've only had the camera system installed for two weeks, but so far, once we figured out how to configure it properly, (ie. using the NVR set up for motion zones vs the phone app), it works great. The two 10TB hard drives are supposed to last for about 65 days, but that is obviously yet to be seen. Thus, in response to your review request, I'll only give it 3 stars (an average review. ) The only major drawback I've noticed so far, is when I turn off the monitor connected to the NVR or do certain other things with the NVR, it requires a new sign-in. Since we don't have a keyboard on the NVR, that can become cumbersome. Is there a way to connect a keyboard to the NVR?

I purchased 2 drivers so it would more than double my hard drive space I never installed the second drive because they did not include the special screws to mount it and they also didn't include a cable that is needed. I ended up returning the second drive since it was overkill and Lorex took it back with no problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought my DVR in 2021. Set up cameras for full 360 view. Theft detected on May 19th 2021. Downloaded video and filed report with Law Enforcement. Upon viewing the video, they laughed and said, They wished all video was this clear and consice. Bad guy was arrested in 4 days. Lorex Support has been nothing short of what the old timers call just good old fashion service. The kind of service when a person would stay with you until the issue was resolved.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Officially future proofed my house with this NVR system Lorex Connect X5 4K Poe Bullet Cameras + 10TB external hard drive. Picture is amazing, response is second to none. Night vision……it looks like the daytime! Cannot say enough good things about this system!

Price is right, installation was easy. only complaint was I directly asked if they would come installed and told they would be installed but very easy to take out the smaller hard drive and plug in the larger hard drives no need to do any formatting just plug and go!

New hard drive did not fix the problem. Old drive kept crashing although monitor was shoring non-recorded video just fine, until it finally crashed the whole system. New hard drive lasted less than 24 hours.

Didn't work! My DVR gave me a Hard Drive error, so I replaced it as per Lorex instructions. Now it still shows Hard Drive error.

Fan is very noisy. You can hear it 40' away. I have never had a electronic component that makes this much noise. We have it in our office because this ware our internet is. Very irritating. Needs to be redesigned.

Great option to add additional storage to your overall system.
