Did Victor use the wrong battery as I did?
I have the same experience as Victor but just figured out why: I noted that the drugstore double-thick CR2032 coin battery fits as well as a stack of two hard-to-get CR2016s. But the stack is 6 volts and I, and maybe you, were running the device at 3 volts! LED blinks fine but you will indeed get maybe a good month of the transmitter before "the device fails"! Buy CR2016s thru Walmart.com!

One DOA, the other died after two months
The build quality apparently is not good. The first unit did not work when it arrived. The second worked fine but needed a new battery after 1 month and failed completely after two months. I'm going to buy a different remote.
