This is actually a very nice knife set, and I would recommend it to anybody their first knife set , because it has every knife you could possibly need, and they're appealing to the eye, and they work very good , not to mention the block comes with a sharpener built into it. I feel like my money was well spent, and I am satisfied. Thank you walmart.

I'm really impressed with this knife set. The knives are sharp right out of the box and feel well-balanced in hand. The built-in sharpener is super convenient and keeps the blades in great condition. The black block looks sleek on my kitchen counter, and the stainless steel quality feels durable. Great value for the price!

Very affordable and complete set of sharp and attractive knives. This set includes an 8" chef knife, 8" slicing knife, 8" serrated bread knife, 5" utility knife, 3.5" paring knife, six 4.5" serrated steak knives, kitchen shears and a black hardwood knife block with a built-in sharpener. Pretty much every knife you need for your kitchen. All the knives came sharp and the built in sharpener will keep them dangerously prepared for the job. The blades are a thinner steel than a lot of the clunky stainless sets available making their edge easier to maintain. I am impressed with this set. the block is a bit bland in appearance but it holds a very nice set of knives. I recommend.

I couldn't be more pleased with this set. It's everything I need, and nothing more. The blades are sharp, the construction is solid, and they just 'feel right'. I like that the steak knives are serrated. The shears are sharp, and very sturdy. They look great, and the block is literally a piece of art. For 36 dollars, you will not be disappointed...and it would make a welcomed gift.

Absolutely love this knife and block set. I had been searching for so long but couldn't talk myself into getting one until I found this deal. For the quality and craftsmanship of the block to the beautiful design of the knife blades. This set makes it easy to cut and prepare anything for any meal. If you're looking for a good knife set that's going to last you a while I would def look into this one. The built in knife sharpener is a life changer, definitely a buck saver so you don't have to buy a sharpener separate. Dishwasher safe, super sharp edges, easy to clean and maintain.

I can't tell you how excited I am for these knives!!! For one, they are beautiful! I prefer the black blades over a chrome finish. I can only show 5 pictures so I can't show each blade, but trust me when I say they're pretty! From the Chef knife, to the Bread knife, to the Slicing knife, Pairing knife and Utility Knife, to the six Steak knives and the Kitchen Shears (scissors)…I love everything about this! I love that the block has a built-in sharpener which I'm not sure I'll ever use…I'm just grateful it's there “just-in-case.” I'm in my second half of life so I believe these knives are going to last me for a lifetime, and maybe even longer if my adult children want them. All I know is my meat and veggies don't stand a chance anymore.

I'm really impressed with this knife set, especially for the price. We've actually never owned a full knife set before, so I was excited to finally have the right knives for different foods like fruits and vegetables. The knives feel high quality, and I like that it even comes with a sharpener, which is a nice bonus. The sleek black design also looks really nice in the kitchen and gives it a more modern look. Overall, very happy with this set, and glad we got it!

I'm a home cook for two to three people. Fairly light use on some very inexpensive knives. This was an upgrade. Handles felt nice. Blades firm and sharp. Block seems good, looks real nice. I have some concern over the amount of paint on food stuffs... but unfounded. I've heard they could rust, but that's not been my experience. The value of this set is spectacular. I threw out and cleaned up two drawers. Time will tell.

I received the Xanapon 13-Piece Knife Set for free as part of a reviewer program. The affordable/cheap price might be telling. These are crazy sharp and have a built in knife sharpener right on the block – genius! They are made in China , but are made from German steel. The plastic handles make the set feel less than premium, and unbalanced, but the blades cut like crazy. These knives have the black non-stick coating I've been seeing more of lately and I am not too sure about it. Is it brain killing TEFLON??? IDK, it does not say.

the knife set is very nice looking.. the steak knives are not as sharp as I would like but still pass. there is a knife sharpener with it but I haven't tried it yet. It is worth the money
