Xbox One 500GB Console

At first I was worried & didn't know how transferring the account from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One would go, but it was easy. Don't think you'll be playing it right away because there is alot of updates & downloads. The graphics are amazing, I like it alot. I'm glad I made the decision to purchase the Xbox One & grateful to own a great console that keeps me entertained. Great product!

Xbox one has some great features both with and without Kinect. The graphics of course are amazing, top of the line at the moment and will get even better in the future once developers decide to start pushing the limits. Processing power could be slightly better as once in a while in games like Battlefield 4 the levalution sometimes can be choppy on the Xbox One. The Xbox 360 however is by no means outdated. If you're not a hardcore gamer, the processing power will not even be noticed and you would still be fine with the Xbox 360. If you're willing to wait, the 360 will make due until the Xbox One has more game titles available.

Walmarts End: Purchased the Xbox One w/out Kinect for a bud's birthday from St.Louis for pickup in Portland. Everything went as smooth as can be. Very efficient. Microsofts End: The Xbox itself was incredibly easy to install. Took about 2 minutes. The packaging of the product was excellent. The product came with one controller and a headset/mic system. I really have nothing bad to say about this product. One interesting thing though, for buyers going from Xbox 360 to Xbox One is that you have to actually install every disk you purchase, which takes a substantial amount of time (like 20-30 minutes), so take that into consideration if you're calling up a bud to play.

Almost pointless to write a review about something every gamer is familiar with, but if you are new to the XBox system (do they have gaming on your planet?), I will say that this is easiest setup we've ever had with any kind of electronic. Plug and play, really. XBox live account transfers over... my son still has his XBox 360 set up and sitting right next to the One, since he loves playing co-op with his friends and can do that only with the One only with friends who also own a One.... so don't throw those 360 games away! On your TV, the 360 can be plugged into HDMI 1 and the One into HDMI 2, making switching between the two a snap. You will have to make sure your headset will convert over to the 360, however. If it does not, though, there is an adapter that comes with the One, so don't buy the converter when you buy your game, just because the salesman says you'll need it (like happened to us). Son's headset was able to be used as-is on the One, so we didn't need the converter. Anyway, great that the One has come down to 400 bucks, and it's a lot of money, but the graphics are worth it, in my son's opinion. Takes forever, seriously, to load games -- you can play through GTA V while you're waiting -- and don't know why, but there you go.

Xbox 1 standard edition (without Kinect) has not disappointed. Set up was easy and kudos to Microsoft for including a high speed HDMI cable. You will need an internet connection for the initial setup in order to get the latest software update. A Gold subscription to Xbox LIVE is a must for online multi-player games but the subscription also gives you 2 free games to download each month! Being able to record and share gameplay is one of my favorite features along with "quick resume". The only bad thing I encountered was having to purchase a chat adapter so that I could use my old Turtle Beach headsets. Overall, i am very pleased with the kinect-less xbox 1.

Its a great system and its better and smoother and a little bit faster without the Kinect cause the Kinect takes up a lot of its processing power. So if you can live without the voice command feature then this is the console you need. Granted the PS4 might be more powerful but thy don't have the game exclusives titles like Xbox but there isn't that many must have games yet but there coming. Also if you already have a Xbox Live membership with your Xbox 360 as long as you use the same gamertag you can use your existing membership with both consoles so theres no need to purchase another xbox live account membership. But the 2 drawbacks ive ran into so far is theres no wireless heaset/mic available yet and you cannot get a bigger harddrive for this console cause its not removable like the 360 consoles but it does have a 500gb HDD unless you save a ton of games, movies, and music etc...... it should be big enough for your needs but if you need something bigger then I recommend to wait till November when the Advanced warfare edition xbox one comes out comes it has a 1TB hdd which is twice the size as this one hopefully this was helpful

So to start, I own both a PS4 and XBONE now. I haven't had Microsofts newest system for long though. So to start, the system seems solid and has a lot more apps than my PS4. That doesn't make it better, just a perk it adds to the experience. The PS4 definitely wins as a Blu Ray/DVD playing device for an easier and zippier control scheme. As for the XBox I only have Diablo and that plays very well. The controller is just OK compared to the PS4 and even the 360's. The interface is a bit harder to use than PS4's but if your used to Mocrosoft layouts you won't have a problem. It has slower install times also in comparison. All that being said I admit that I got this for HALO and the great exclusives, for I believe it has far superior exclusives. So in the end I really like the system so far and haven't had any problems yet. The controller isn't as bad as some others say and there's a lot of awesome titles coming soon. The customization of the main screen offers different options.
