We frequently lose electricity in rain, storms, and during hot weather where I live. This is a very handy and compact little weather radio, which allows me to stay in touch with a great outdoor outdoors and the real world when I have no electricity. I tend to rely on it to keep me informed in terms of what the status is with Weather reports. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I didn't think I would have fun with a pocket radio in 2026, but I am definitely having some fun with this one. The actual FM broadcasts I might enjoy the most are all there. There is great selectivity and sensitivity in the DSP tuning. I just wish I lived a place that had *less* country music, so once I've had my fill of hip-hop, pop, or classic hits, I'll play with the shortwave band to see if I can pull something. One really cool thing that I will lean on is the weather radio. I can pick it up and be informed! All and all, this XHDATA radio is just neat to have. You should buy this. I'm taking it with me during football season to try hearing games.

I have several pocket radio's which cost at least double the price of this radio. And to be honest this radio's reception on FM is just as good as my more expensive radio's. Weather Channel comes in good, shortwave is ok depending on time of day, and AM depending on your location is ok.

The best radios are XHDATA hands down,I buy them all in n the different colors,sound is always good and almost always affordable,I also enjoy retekess and prunus,a.m. is surprisingly clear for even far off and it doesn't mention a larger ferrite bar,but hey it's all good,I'm happy!

This is a small simple, not tiny, radio that includes the regular AM and FM bands with NOAA weather and short wave. It sounds really good for the size and price. It receives surprisingly well. The short wave band takes careful tuning as the frequency range is so broad. I also like that it takes 2 AA batteries. Very common and store easy for when needed. You can't always rely on having power banks and charging available but you could use rechargable AA batteries that can charge from a power bank. I would recommend this for anyone wanting a small redio for weather monitoring and general intertainment along with use during emergencies. It could save you using up your cell phone for weather information and entertainment so you could use your cell phone for communication longer. Non digital. Good sound. Simple operation, one selector switch and two diales. Very impressive receiving capabilities. Headphone jack. 2 AA battery power.

Easy to use, very good reception within small suburb of small town near 2 large shipping waterways in Central US Good palm size; so far sturdy antenna and band switching. Nicely packaged, varied listed online ways to contact company, timely delivery.

I had bought 2 other brands of battery operated radios and they were both awful. This one has been great so far. All I needed was a simple radio and the fact that it is a weather radio is a great bonus. I've had no issues with reception.

Excellent radio. Runs on batteries. Was able to pick up NOAA channels immediately, and other channels as well. Reminds me of the old transistor radios in the 70's. Works beautifully.
