This is a great size for an egg incubator. Has room for 12-24 chicken eggs but is quite compact so won't take up too much space where you use it. For someone who has never done this with chicken eggs before, the instructions are pretty straightforward and easy to follow.
I absolutely had no faith in this incubator because it had no humidity monitor and wouldn't tell you the humidity, but I put my chick eggs in there and waited and ensure enough they hatched so I completely recommend this item. It is definitely worth the money even though it doesn't have a humidity control. It does control the humidity like it should.
Works!!! I have successfully hatched an incubator of ducks and I just finished hatching chicks. It is small. 5 baby ducks once hatched and the incubator was packed full. So worth it!
Can be used for dry hatching. Doesn't beep like crazy like other incubators with a humidity sensor that don't let you get below 40
This incubator is self turning controlled for humidity, and it tempiture is controlled.has a water bottle on the side that is easy to change without opening incubator.great price holds 12 eggs.
Easy to use. 7 out of 9 hatched.
There is no humidity gage, so you don't know what the humidity is. The water bottle setup is awkward and messy. I put 6 duck eggs in 3 hatched and are doing fine. The other 3 died in Their shells fully developed. So I am guessing from not enough humidity. Next time I will use a water spray bottle and a humidity gage. The cover could also be easier to get on and off. But overall I'm happy because of the price and free shipping.
I hated three batches of eggs before I made this review. Okay so the dome is a thick nice plastic and easy to clean. I do not use the egg turner, but it functions properly and does like it should. I do not like the method of adding water (The upside down bottle and tube are a hassle in my opinion. Something permently attached would have given it 5 stars. As it does take up a large area because you have to assure the tube is not pinched up and won't be knocked off and drag everything with it. The lid has to be rotated each time you take it foo for it to connect properly to the base and be sealed which is fine.
I put 8-9 eggs in this incubator. It created life but when they all went to pip and hatch, they died. Even with the water full at all times, the humidity sucks on this thing. It has killed all my chickens. I do not recommend.
It doesn't turn once it is full
