I purchased this scanner because of its WiFi connectivity and very many features. It can be programmed for my 2006 Toyota Sequoia. I then ran a full system scan on the Honda. Halfway through the scan, the connection was lost. Tried the same thing many times. I tried the tool on a few other cars (2007 Honda Civic, 1999 Jaguar) and it worked great. I emailed them and they got back to me quickly. With their help, I was able to scan my Toyota Sequoia without any problems and the support team was very responsive. You will not regret buying this scanner.
I really like the Xtool D7W. I have been using D7 for about a year now. I am a do-it-yourselfer and do almost all of my own vehicle repairs and maintenance. the D7 interface is beautiful, easy to use, and very user friendly. xtool also updates the database frequently. Updating the D7W wirelessly via WiFi is very easy. My friends are amazed at all the features of the D7. Not all features are available for your make and model vehicle though. In addition to checking for diagnostic trouble codes, I have used many of its features. Monitoring engine performance, brake bleeding, key FOB programming, checking coolant temperature, and TPMS reset are just a few of the features I have used successfully. Recently, I ran into a problem when the D7 was connected to my friend's car. I sent an email to XTool and received a reply within 24 hours. After another email, a firmware update quickly resolved the issue. So I salute their customer service and technical support. So far, I haven't found anything I don't like about the D7. For me, it's a must-have tool with great features at a reasonable price....
I received this Xtool D7W scanner last month. I had no problems registering or updating the software. The software is very user friendly. I called the customer support centre and the tech support person answered my question right away and solved my software problem by downloading an update, which I highly recommend.
Normally, I don't write reviews, but after using this product on countless domestic and imported cars, I felt compelled to write a review. I was pleasantly surprised by this unit, the live scan feature is very useful, it works very fast and follows a logical path.
This D7W scan tool is really good value for money, it does what even expensive products can do, not only read and clear fault codes, but also provides specific fault codes, troubleshoots the system with two-way functionality and reads real-time data. Customer service is also quick to respond, and in addition, the 3 years of free updates almost offsets the initial cost of purchasing this amazing tool. Highly recommended!
This is the first scanner I have purchased online. It's a great diagnostic tool and the manual is relatively detailed. It helped me restore my 20 year old Chevy Tahoe.I would really recommend this to anyone looking to do a full diagnostic on their car. Great for the DIY beginner scanner as it's really easy to use.
Haven't used much. Seems to be a very capable scanner. Like that it does abs bleed and key programming.
I purchased it primarily to diagnose electrical problems/codes in my car. Most diagnostic tools will not fix this generation of complex IMA systems. I was amazed at the amount of real time data on this device. This device strikes a great balance between cost and effectiveness. Customer service was also very quick to respond to my queries . Very good company
I have loved it from the first time I used it, it displays almost all the information about the vehicle. Provides a database of standard troubleshooting codes for most cars; no scanning tool can do it all, but this scanner is a great tool for the money.
On the cars I've tested, it provides more code information than the Topdon. On the other hand, the Topdon has a longer battery life than his, so overall, I was not impressed with this scanner due to the high battery drain. However this scanner did provide more information on airbag fault codes, allowing me to find the exact faulty part. Whereas the Topdon only provided generic code information that was difficult to research.
