Xtreme Universal Apple TV Remote Replacement for 1st-5th Generation, Controls TV & Apple TV, Large Buttons, Ergonomic Design – Requires 2x AAA Batteries

I got this remote because I recently gave away my extra remote. However, this remote is nifty. I have an onn TV and it works fine. You really just need two AAA batteries and it does the job. I have yet to show my lil the YouTube button. But I do like that it’s one of the options.

So, I have to give an honest review of this ROKU remote for most TVs. the first thing I noticed was, The big red on/off button does not seem to protrude out as the other buttons do. I first tried it on a Samsung tv. The Tv came on but would not turn off by pushing the off button. Then I realized OK that Samsung TV has a Roku stick and you can not use these types of remotes with Roku sticks boxes or speakers. Please read on : There is absolutely NO Pre Programming to use on any of the following Roku Tvs from these makers Just install two AAA batteries (does not come with them:) This WILL work for TVs that have Roku installed on the TV TCL, Phillips, Onn, Sharp, Westing House, Insignia, JVC, Hitachi, RCA, and Sanyo *ROKU TVs. Notice Samsung, and Vizio are not listed for those tvs WITH Roku You need to contact Roku or the TV manufactures. I can't offer a review on battery life, as this is a brand new remote for me. Over all 5 stars Highly Recommend. We will see down the road how tat ON/OFF button holds up, It seems a bit weak but it worked. so we will see. OH Need to mention: 'There are FIVE quit buttons at the bottom of the remote : N for Netflix, H for HULU, Y YouTube and D for Disney channels. No Voice control on this remote. Does have Volume up and down and Mute on the side,

I tested this remote side-by-side with the remote that was included with my Roku TV. There's a lot to like here. The buttons provide a more tactile feedback than the original remote. The volume buttons are raised, making adjustments a snap. Same size as the original. However, the infrared signal is weaker than the original remote. Signal gets blocked easily. The original remote works better in this instance. Overall, this remote is worthwhile, a good value. Glad I have it!

This remote worked straight out of the box. No setup required. I used it on my Onn tv and tried it on my Hisense tv, it worked on both. It has action buttons for the streaming services Netflix, Hulu, Disney, and Youtube. I really appreciate the fact that it is universal. Definateky will buy again.

This remote is easy to use, just put in a few batteries and it worked. I did not have to program my TV or my 2nd generation Apple TV. Both worked right out of the box. My old Apple remote stopped working, this saved the day!

This was perfect and exactly what I was needing! This is not the first time my son has lost the remote to our bedroom tv! Now we don’t have to keep borrowing the remote from the living room tv!!

Ours suddenly just quit working, and I had to grab a replacement. I was afraid it was going to require a ton of setup and difficulty, but it worked right out of the box, so I'm quite happy.

delivery was early. of course I found mine before this one came but it's useful and good to have an extra. works just as good as the one the TV came with. I like that it has the easy access to the popular apps as well

Don't get me wrong this product does work and connects with minimal effort. Problem is the remote doesn't have a very sturdy feel but I suppose that may come with the price tag. However the volume button sticks so overall not too pleased.

The back of the remote was difficult to remove. I was unable to pair remote message “not available” appeared on the screen each time I tried to pair. Returned remote immediately!
