Absolutely LOVE this auger! (Words I never thought I would say in my lifetime. 😊) Saved an enormous amount of time on our deck project as it cut through dirt, sand and small rocks like butter. Purchased the 12” bit for versatility of projects. Neighbor has already borrowed it for a project he had going on too.

Used this to dig holes for planting ten 7' Arborvitaes trees. It was perfect for the job and took 3 hours with only 2 people: dig, plant, fill.

The digger has worked very well I have dug just about 50 holes in rocky and clay soils. If the rock is small the digger throws them out of the hole if the rock is too big the digger stops and I had to remove the rock. I do not like the owners manual because it does not have clearly understandable instructions and figures. The customer service phone number is a waste of time. I called three different times only to have a recording tell me to call back later that they were on another line.

This little machine has extreme power and amazingly economical on fuel. It takes a couple of tries to become accustomed to handling the power. The area must be free of any obstruction to drill without any problems or the machine will wrench violently on contact with roots of stones and can hurt your wrist or back. The technique I find most helpful is to gently squeeze the throttle while lightly lifting the auger, then carefully inserting the bit down again. The one issue I have is that the hex screws under the engine become loose while the engine is in motion and I have lost a couple already. I am currently on the site looking for replacement screws

it came with 10" inch Auger Bit instead of 12", and was told by seller it cannot be replaced with the 12" bit therefore returned it back at Walmart store.
