I had to order these because while doing crafts I was using a torch lighter and I had hairspray across my whisp of bangs and , guess what happened. I was making Christmas gifts down to the wire a couple nights before Christmas and I was getting very sleepy not realizing how bad it was. I managed to fall asleep long enough to catch my bangs on fire and man I immediately woke up and patted them out. what a stinky situation . well now I have a patch off shirt burnt hairs that stick straight up , on the front off my scalp over my eyebrow to one side. it looks really freaky. so these hair bands will cover my singed bangs until they grow back out. I tell you, what I won't do for a friend at Christmas. .Happy holidays all you craft queens. don't be like a scene from Chee and Chong. Keeps me from having to wear a ponytail to bed. Keeps hair out of the way and is comfortable to sleep in. Doesn't cause sweating. Lots of pretty colors. I use for sleeping but it can be worn anytime, anywhere.

Upon arrival I opened the package and tried on one of the headbands. It was just what I was looking for. The colors were vibrant. It is the width I prefer. The material felt good on my skin. So I thought, “Awesome! Now I'm going to wash them before actually wearing them.” Why? Because even though they were in packaging I feel it is good policy to wash new things before wearing the first time. So, I washed and dried them as I normally would but when I pulled them out of the dryer I noticed that the colors were not as vibrant as they were before the I washed them and the fabric didn't look like it was brand new anymore. It was a bit of a sad panda moment for me. Then I put one on and it was more snug around the head than before it was when I washed it. They still look okay and maybe no one will be able to tell except me. As far as the snugness, maybe I can stretch them back out a little more. I get headaches so if something is too tight around my head it matters, probably more than the actual aesthetic of the item. Anyway, I would still probably buy it again except would try air drying to see if it kept the colors from fading and prevented the slight shrinkage. It does definitely keep the hair out of the face, has cute patterns and a variety of colors for matching with different outfits, and the fabric feels soft against the skin.
