just received this today, me and my ferret love it! it was pretty easy to build and strong enough to withstand my ferrets rough play. its the perfect size for my ferret to enjoy herself. i was really satisfied with this purchase and would definitely recommend to a friend. only bad thing i have to say is one of the little bars were broken when i got it but its no big deal.

did not work out and requested a refund that is pending as soon as I drive the cage to the local Walmart. Not a good fit for a rambunctious Parrot like mine.

A little smaller than I thought it would be. It was easy to put together. Forget the instruction book. Go to YouTube and look for yaheetech ferret cage. Easy to assemble with video. Seems sturdy once its all bolted together. Big enough for my bunny to hang out but not run around. We let him out to get his exercise but this is good for relaxing and bedtime. Bottom pan seems pretty flimsy and could be easily cracked. Comes with food bowl and water bottle. Bars are small enough so he cant escape as he did his last cage.

i just bought 3 rats , 4 months old for my daughter . the 2 males are hairless and they are smaller than the female and they all love this cage . they can get through the bars , barely . the funny thing is unless my daughter is close they dont leave the cage . i never had rats before , only gerbils as a kid and they would have been long gone . that tells me they love this cage . they are so much more active than in the aquarium i had them in waiting for this to arrive .the cage is well built , no bending these bars like on a cheap bird cage .the wheels work great , my daughter wheels them around the house effortlessly on the tile floors and throw rugs .lots of room . they all have their own space when they want it . ( go figure these things are smarter than i ever would of imagined , and all have their own personalities . they like their own space now and then lol )we have had no mess outside the catch tray and put cat litter in it the second day to make cleaning a breeze .Very easy to assemble .no tools were needed except the hex key it came with .if i ever have to buy another cage i will be buying from this company again .the water bottle and food bowl are perfect additions and fit perfect .the water bottle has measure lines already on it for adding vitamins to the water .my daughter put a padded barbie house they sleep in and a large plush barbie couch up on the 3rd floor they nap in and have a place to get off the bars . they also have a running wheel they almost never use but there is plenty of room , and they like to climb the walls .Update 3/10/17my daughters rats are 2x as big and still go thru the bars at 6 months old .they have the dogs trained and can now roam the house at will unless i stick em in a glass tank i had laying around . i will be purchasing a midwest critter cage asap with 1/2 inch bars .i dont know how but they can get to my bedroom and hop under the covers on a very high kingsize bed at 2 or 3 in the AM .i have had very little sleep the last week lol . they are much smarter than i imagined any rodent could be , and very social with the entire family including the dogs . this cage is awesome but for larger animals than 6 month old rats .im only knocking off a star since i like the cage and now i know i should have looked for 1/2 inch spacing .this is more like 1 inch than 1/2 inch .

I have 2 rats and this cage is fantastic. It is sturdy and very spacious. I love the slide out tray for easy clean up and that it has wheels so I can move them into whichever room we are in. It was pretty quick and easy to put together as well. Definitely worth buying.

I bought this for my Chinchilla. I've bought several cages over the last 7 years for him. The last was in 2013 (Prevue Hendryx Black Feisty Ferret Cage) and it was junk and I paid over $100 for it. Nightmare to put together and he destroyed it in less than a year. So we modified it to just use the bottom half. He chews plastic and the corners where he urinates seem to rust out the corners.This one is well built for being made in China and seems quite sturdy for the price. This was very easy to put together. I had no issues with pieces not lining up. The only way I can figure that there would be an issue is if you put pieces on backwards. The water bottle and feeding dish that come with it are junk. You will need to bend or clip the shelves in place otherwise when they jump around the shelves will bounce off. I've never had an issue with wire cages and my Chin's feet but I also use several small marble slab pieces. You can easily find scrap ones at marble supply places instead of paying top dollar for a "chinchiller." Buy a nice glass bottle feeder and Kaytee Rabbit hay bin and feeder along with toys and you're set. I wish they would make better tray for the bottom. In the past I've found the pee pads for the Breeze cat litter system work well instead of a litter or newspaper but they are a little small for this cage.I do not recommend this cage for smaller critters like rats. The bars are wide spread.
