Xanthe loves her new Codo. She has plenty of room. I put it together myself. The instructions weren't very helpful but the video was. It was worth the money.
A very well made cage. Excellent design with thoughtful placement of feeders. Great interior space and excellent quality. So happy with this.
Bought this cage for my parakeets %26 they love it. It's easy to clean %26 plenty of room for the birds. The shelf underneath is nice as well.
I bought this cage due to the great reviews everyone gave for this product.... I was super anxious but when my cage arrived it was damaged.... I was heart broken... It was for my southern flying squirrels.... I contacted the company and they were FANTASTIC... They made this experience a positive one by sending me another one and checking to make sure i was happy... The replacement was very quick and i cant complain.. Will put a picture of my cage in this review soon... You wont regret this buy if you need it.... My squirrels absolutely love it..
Many years ago, I bought this amazing stainless steel Kings cage for my macaw. It was $3500, and was amazing cage. Well this cage is no comparison, but if you set your expectations for bang for the buck, this cage is great. I only give it a ding on sturdiness. The cage barley sits on the stand, and there is nothing holding it on there, so it can easily get knocked off the stand. I plan to figure out something to remedy that, but otherwise no other complaints.
I really like this cage but they should give u more platforms to use and its a pain to put it together but its very nice good quality but some things I think should have come up with better idea. Otherwise I like it my rats love it havent escaped but id suggest to buy mat to over the surfaces because they will bother their little feets
Even back in the '70s a cage this size would have cost you probably $800. The quality would have been better, but considering the price of this cage, I don't even think you can beat it.I wouldn't use this for a macaw size bird, cuz they would probably snap the cage wire/bars right off cuz they're so thin. But for my Conure, it's perfect. She took a bit to get used to it because the bars on this new home is a lot smaller than her last home. I appreciate the ladders and platforms it comes with, she uses all of them constantly.I purchased the black cage and it looks very pretty in my house. (I will try to update with picture in the future).I got lucky and timed my purchase just right and saved a lot of money. But even paying 200 bucks would still be worth it for a medium size or several small birds. This cage also has lots of options and lots of sliding doors to mount whatever attachments you want.As for the design, I think the company could be more innovative on a few things (thicker gauge wire/metal, better quality wheels or a design that allows for me to purchase aftermarket wheels. These are a very specific snap-in size) but all said and done, I'm very happy with my purchase, and so is Maggie. ??
Assbled fast and easy. Homes 6 rats well. I wipe it down weekly with a rag moist with cleaner and hose it off when I do a deep clean. Only thing I would change is a deeper tray for bedding. Using it for rats bedding does spill out the sides unless I make my own barriers with cardboard. Overall very pleased with my purchase. Put a picture far away next to sliding glass door for size comparison
If you have put other cages together before you know there are a lot of nuts to deal with during assembly. This is not the case on this one. Most nuts are welded into the pieces so just a matter of screwing it together. The package is heavy when it arrives , about 568 lbs. So be prepared. My birds are very happy now in a larger cage. Instructions are mostly all pictures but most imported stuff is these days. So matter of understanding pictures. The pieces are not marked so you need to compare to pictures. Thus the 4 stars.
The cage is sturdy, a little difficult to erect, but for me that was due to damage during shipment. The doors have strong latches and there are many small doors for food bowls. I added wire ties to all of the feeding doors to insure that the squirrels could not escape.
