Yale makes a solid lock. It's easy to use and looks great.
Works great. Good value. I recommend it to a friend who also purchased one. Like the automatic unlock and lock feature and the ability to set individual codes.
Easy installation %26 very easy to use. Exactly what we were looking for.
Easy to use
Great instruction . Tech was helpful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is hands down my favorite item I have received to review from @influenster !!! Super easy install and great added convenience. 10/10 recommend!!! Seamless integration to HomeKit which allows for Control out of the home without the WiFi module. I am waiting for the matter module to launch!!
hardware is ok, software is so so... you can clearly see that company doesn't care much about the software, it is buggy, usability is cumbersome, etc.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lock was easy to install, the app gives relatively clear instructions & short, the videos were a little too quick on how to perform each step (would love more detail on the videos). The step by step in app installation guide was great. I have never installed a smart lock before and the measurement guides were very helpful. The only part which was not clear was the fact that I did not need a smart module for this lock in order to ensure it worked with Apple HomeKit. The HomeKit compatibility works great & is my primary method of using this lock. The Yale Access app is good & has the functionality you expect. The app is slow to connect to the lock at times (not a problem with HomeKit)
Neither of the units I bought worked with any of the phones we tried for setup. The app (which is the only way to set them up) did not function properly on Android or iOS. Even returning them has been difficult, so I cannot recommend trying this lock.
I really wanted this lock to work. When it works, it's great. But reliability is important for a lock, and this one has failed. I've only had it for a month and today, when leaving the house, it refused to lock. Made lots of beeps and the keypad was dead. So I literally could not lock the door from outside. Had to spend 40 minutes on the phone with tech support to take it apart, disconnect wires, reboot it, and then re-enter in all of the passcodes into the app. Now it works again, for now. Would not recommend it unless you have lots of time to spend on the phone with tech support.
