Was skeptical at first about smartlocks but dud some research and found that these would suit our needs. Installing them was easy and getting them configured was not too difficult, either, although it could have been a bit improved. The app isn't bad, and they integrate with our Samsung SmartThings ecosystem very well. I have automations set up and it's been a big improvement in convenience—our doors can unlock as soon as we get home and it's been super helpful. They look nice and perfectly match our decor.
We purchased the Yale Assure Lock 2 for our brand new front door and we couldn't be happier with the lock. It is gorgeous and looks upscale and elegant. It works flawlessly so far, closing and opening smoothly. The fingerprint feature is a game changer, as it is so much faster and practical than the code or phone opening features. Overall, a great purchase.
Switched from another brand. The Yale deadbolt is packed with features, probably more than my wife and I will ever need. So far, so good. Seems a bit sturdier than the competing brand we were using on our house. Loving the fingerprint feature.
Once installed and set up on our smartphones, the lock worked just as we expected. There was one glitch where we had to recalibrate the lock but with the guidance of the help line, it was a quick fix. I love how I can unlock the door from my car so I can walk right in instead of fumbling for my keys.
We wanted a lock that is easy for family members to use and where we can set pass codes for the dog sitter. We use the fingerprint feature, the dog sitter uses a code, and we have a key just in case the batteries fade. Easy to install, had some trouble calibrating the deadbolt, but it seems to be tuned now. The only downside is that it takes some fiddling to get the keypad to light up in order to enter a code. Otherwise, it looks great and is way easier than digging for keys.
Rules & included video instructions were clear and this was very easy to set up. I love the ease of this lock while still having an actual key incase of emergency needs. We plan to buy for the back and side door of our home as well.
This is exactly what we needed in our home. We were tired of giving out keys and forgetting who had one. Now we can assign a code and revoke it later if needed. We are already considering getting another for our side door.
At first I thought not having the Apple key entry feature would be a bummer but this lock has been absolutely great for my needs. The features with Apple HomeKit to the fingerprint make it seamless.
Doesn't integrate well with apple homekit or google home. Is glitchy and difficult to get it to properly add show up as available to add in order to connect it.
WiFi doesn't work or keypad doesn't work. Door sense won't connect. It's a joy
