Yale Assure Lock Wi-Fi Smart Module Upgrade Kit with hardware

I am widowed and have three dogs. I woke up several mornings and realized I failed to lock up after one or all three dogs got me up to go outside during the night. We have had a crime spree (as has the rest of the country) and I had to figure out how to avoid this happening again. I did not want unwanted guests. I also had to figure out how to enable entry for someone, a trusted individual, to gain access to my home in the event I needed assistance or they needed to do a welfare check. This lock does it all. It automatically locks a few seconds after the door is shut. It automatically unlocks when I have my iPhone with me, to allow my entrance and then locks after entry and door is shut. If I need to let someone in the house for some reason, and I am not close to allow them, I can remotely enable entry.

This module allows you to check and lock/unlock the door from anywhere! It is awesome!

Works great on 216 model, but would not work on earlier model. Per Tech Support it is not compatible with Gen 1, so I had to return one of the two modules I ordered. It works great in the 216 lock, and integrates fine with Google Nest. I don't know about battery life, I'm going to see how long it will operate on a new set of batteries until it dies (not just sends alert)

I wish someone would have told me about the wifi problems with this cartridge. Even though I set up the door lock with 2.4G, my wifi keeps switching to 5G, which is draining the batteries on the lock, and disabling the lock. I have asked the wifi company to disable the 5G, but they are telling me this fix is only temporary. I am just crossing my fingers.

The system does not always connect to Wi-Fi. Therefore I am unable to check the status of the door when I am away at times.

I was excited to see a smart lock on the market that looks like it's from this decade. The install was not a problem. But the calibration for the door sense ( one of the core features of buying this product) it took a frustrating amount of playing with and that is following the instructions. Features you want to use require the WiFi module sole separately and it requires Bluetooth the access settings. Leave and come back again and good luck if the Bluetooth connects. Yes it is smart but seems like it has a long way to go to meet a standard. Maybe I need to sit and play with it more but I believe anything out of the box should do the bare minimum and this product is coming up short. Debating on returning….

It was like pulling teeth to obtain this device (not all Yale's fault, as Renewal By Andersen had some trouble identifying the needed device), and now I am unable to install it despite many attempts. After multiple contacts with Yale, I have no current prospect for satisfaction.

Cannot update the firmware of my lock nor connect with HomeKit. I have tried everything short of declaring this to be garbage. And it's not the only one I bought, thinking the first one was defective...

Misleading information. They market the product like it has this model
