Easy to install and easy to setup. Adjusting your door for the deadbolt to slide effortlessly may take several tries and / or a call to a professional. Really though, if you take your time and go step by step, most likely your installation will go without a hitch. PRO TIP: If yourcurrent deadbolt does not glide effortlessly and extend all the way out, you should correct that issue first, before attempting to install the Yale.

The installation instructions with the app were seamless and the best out of box experience I've had since I bought my first iPhone. Great job Yale/August!

Getting intermittent disconnect messages, but then it reconnects almost immediately by itself. This has happened on two of these upgrade kits, one that I moved the receiver right next to the lock and still get it (though not as frequently). The auto-unlock is pretty much useless for me. It would unlock as I pulled into my driveway, before getting close to the garage let alone the lock. And with automatic locking turned on, the door was locked again by the time I was actually parked and wanted to get in the house. I would have thought that the unlock would work with Bluetooth, which would have to be much closer to the door. It also doesn't help that you have to move 200 meters away before it will consider unlocking. Doesn't do much good when you go into the back yard to cut the grass and the door doesn't automatically unlock for you when you are done. All that being said, having the ability of connectivity on the locks is great. I can use it or not as I choose. Probably the most important part of the review...if I had another door that needed a lock I would buy another one of these.

It was not clear in the interface that the "Banner" on the "Keychain" was actually a button to press, so took more effort than necessary to get started. It was also unclear how to add new owners. Having said that their support was very good at getting me through these glitches. ON the whole it works as advertised.

Product works great. Only a few hiccups during installation. It would help if there were product installation directions in package that give more detailed information all at one glance.

I do think purchasing this type of lock is extremely expensive and I feel like it doesn't have to be. I do like the over all look of the lock. It's really sleek. I am satisfied with product and service it provides over all.

They don't last long. If you try to switch doors, the module is bad and must buy a new one. If internet & power goes out for 8+ hours. The module is bad and must buy new ones

My new door came with the Yale lock and smart WiFi module kit. It has never worked even after hours of troubleshooting using every suggestion online. The only reason we wanted this type of lock was so we could unlock and lock the door remotely. Unfortunately our new doors with triple lock system were designed with these locks so we can't replace the lock system.

This did not work with my current lock. Had to call Yale and they told me that the upgrade kit was not compatible with my Yale lock.

Yale is entirely misleading customers! We they advertise their locks as “Smart” but you need to purchase a separate component in order to make it actually connect to the internet. Steer clear and buy from a different company. It's too late for me.
