Quick setup. I had bought the lock as a set with the Amazon cloud cam. Amazon stopped supporting the keyless entry last year and I thought I would have to buy a whole new lock. Replacing this module let me hook my current lock up to my Ring alarm and it works great.
Great lock! Sleek. Easy to use and program. Make sure you have the right module before purchasing. If in direct sunlight for majority of day. Battery drain is quicker.
It works; excellent condition
I can't believe that this is basically a repurposed version of their older z-wave module and still uses the s0 legacy security. This is supposed to be the most secure node, being a lock that was just released... Besides being not the most secure, this module is also slow and unstable when compared to any other z-wave node I've tested. I'm actually thinking of switching from z-wave to ZigBee modules for the locks, just in hope of a better experience. I waited 6 months for this, since they announced it more than half a year ago and this is what they delivered? Better check your QA department...
Can not connect my Yale lock to ring. This item did not connect.
Bought three of these thinking they were the newer 700 series Z-wave modules that support S2 encryption and security, plus better battery life and range. NOPE. This is the same 1st generation 300 series Z-wave with only L0 protocol and no security. How can a LOCK COMPANY not release security updates for their expensive hardware!? Seriously, when you install a lockset you expect it to last 10 - 20 years. They were smart to make the lock modular, but stupid to not release updated modules. Guess they don't want repeat customers and we are going to have to find new locks for all our rental units.
