Recorders are for adults, too!
I am just learning the recorder and wanted to start with a fairly inexpensive model. The Yamaha alto got excellent reviews and was suggested as the best size for an adult. It comes in three parts with a zippered case. It arrived quickly, was exactly as described and has a good sound. I'm pleased with my purchase. Now to practice!!

The Yamaha Alto Recorder sounds great!
The Yamaha Alto Recorder really has a great sound! I received it very quickly, it arrived in just two days and it was packaged very well in a box. It came with a blue zipper case, a cleaning rod and instructions. I would recommend this recorder to anyone. I love it. Thank You!

Worth the buy
My son was promoted to alto recorder. Walmart was the only place I could find one. Came a day early and was packaged well. It's not flimsy like the soprano recorders. The sound is pretty cool too.

Definitely Loved Yamaha's YRA-28BIII Alto Recorder
You immediately notice (weight-wise)the difference between an Alto and Soprano recorder through the packaging. I knew this was gonna be a heavier duty instrument, tone-wise. I was greatly pleased to find an off-white Alto recorder. Package had all its parts. Loved the extra package bits to prevent instrument scarring. Immediately after assembly, tried the sound, which was wonderful! Placement of fingers will have to be practiced, but overall an easy task. Love the color! Noticed this is the ONLY PLASTIC [OFF]WHITE ALTO recorder out there on offer! Glad I ordered mine before the sellout. Only other offers were browns and ivory or black and white-THAT'S ALL. Glad Yamaha stepped up their color game, and gave players an option beyond the usual! Also lighter hues are easier to see finger placement. Well constructed instrument. Sure hope Yamaha also sells an OFF-WHITE Tenor and Bass recorder(s) respectively!!! $21.60 was a reasonable price for such a well constructed instrument. Can't wait to see more of Yamaha's varieties.
