Go to shallow water bait
The Nuki Bug has become my go -to when the bite is slow and the fish are shallow. Fish it T-rig weightless on a 4/0 offset hook, weightless on 10 or 12 lb. fluorocarbon. stay back and make longer casts to cover and shade lines. Let it fall on a semi-slack line (like a senko). I throw these more than a senko now all over the country. And it gets big bites...
