I wish I had heard of this a long time ago it works like a charm. I go along and dig the holes in a pattern I can see real well, put in the bulbs, then cover them up, so quick and easy well worth every penny. thank you

Works great for me. What I use it for is cleaning grass/dirt around pop up sprinkler heads. Just fits over head of unit.

Very sturdy. I love the wide plate so you can easily step on it to add that extra push when needed.

This is probably a very specialized tool and not meant for everyone. My back is shot from a lifetime of negligence, so anything that can "reach" for me is already a great tool. My season just ended, but I tested the tool and it works just fine. Probably recommended on soil that is soft or has been "worked" before. As to be expected the "digging" portion fills with soil that can get stuck (my soil is heavy on the clay), so the solution is just to have a stick of some variety to "poke" the clump out. Thank you for the awesome tool! I look forward to many seasons with it.

I bought this to try to put zoysia from my front yard into the back yard. This is the easy way my friends. But after doing that a few times I realize that I'll be using this to plant weed and transplant everything I can. This tool parts for itself in the time and energy you save. I'm going to try to de-vine the yard where we have some wayward clematis and such. This tool may be just the thing. About the tool : it's solid and simple, with Good finish to prevent early deterioration. The hoop is welded to the step handle. That would be the breaking point. But I expect this to last a good while if used properly on earth. There may be trouble on rock root wood stump etc., but that's true for all digging tools!

I bought this as a replacement for a bulb planter that I really liked, but which ended up breaking beyond repair. The Yard Butler version is much, much sturdier. The only complaint I have is that the bar limits the depth of the hole, and sometimes I have to dig out an extra inch with a trowel.

For my soil, thick clay soil, this did not work so great. I am hoping that as I improve my soil with amending it will work better but for now it's just in a pile in my garage

Love it perfect size for garden plants, reuse of your garden plant pots for other plants. Give you more power to go right to the perfect area you want to plant. Use don't have to use so much mucle to plant your plants. The foot area and padded handles are great. Fabulous and well made.
